The moms in my neighborhood and the hiphop kid that parks my xB every day have all gone on about how they want one. Nothing about MTV though....

 

your telling me! I get friggen ambushed everywhere i go!!! they will just start going off about it to me- and i dont even know these people!! people just walk up to me an say stuff like " ya i dint like the wing....this was this and that was that...blala bla"!!! Im out washing the B last night and all the old folks of the nieborhood were out walking and they all would stop and say the meanest things! Like this one old hag was like "that is the ugliest thing ive ever seen"- i was like thanks. I think ill take it back now that you dont approve. Then this kid comes up to me and goes off about his riced out civic (it had a plywood wing-no lie)- he had the nerve to tell me why my car was ugly/slow/ect. I told him to go get bent an he drove off. - WHATS WITH THE HATERS!!- I had my windows tinted darker to keep people from staring at me!! its was embassasing!!! geesh!!!

 

I had my car with my dealer here in downtown Roseville at a farmer's market type event and hella old ladies were like "that's an ugly box." Like you said, I should take it back?........no way! Their husbands were diggin it tho, and with my screens on, it was a hit with the kids. Some hot ladies were in it as well. At least I can say I've had hella hot chicks in it now!

I'm not sayin that all the attention is bad, that was expected. Don't buy this if you dont want to get some attention and some questions.

But I'm not going to pretend that I care about the 'pimp my ride' car anymore. And I hate how everyone just assumes that I'm going to do the same crap to mine.

 

It's surprising how clueless people can be. I'm repeatedly asked if my xB is an Element!

How is it they know what an Element is but they can't see the obvious differences in appearance?

I guess until the masses see some Scion TV commercials or print ads they will continue to assume: square car = Element

 

when people compare my xB to the Element- I quickly say: the Element is an SUV, and th xB is a compact wagon...

Ohh and get used to the questions- I thought since Scions have been out a year-people would be savvy enough to know what one is-NOPE!!

 

nah, they just dont exist everywhere yet, when i was in vegas last weekend i got looks non stop from tourists like "wtf is that box?!" lol

ironically, most of the people that have commented on it to me have been old, only one young guy who was tellin me how his buddy had some 19's on it and it got alot of looks and stuff,

 

people saying "is that an electric car?" gets my blood boiling. AAARGH!!!!!

i got some chick around her late 20s all over my car...i am only 18 by the way

she was like damn, i had her crawling in one sid eand out the other..i was like wtf--but it was funny cuz she loved the car

that was with the 18s and the kit on it

I usually keep my stereo loud enough to not hear those stupid comments. But going to Blockbuster Video the other day a lil girl screamed "Pimp my ride!" when I drove by. Most old people dig it. I like the attention, but try to ignore onlookers as much as possible.
I had one guy the other day ask me how much an xB goes for, he thought they were about $35k.
"No, it's not electric, but it gets decent gas mileage."
"It's made by Toyota, kinda like Lexus is a Toyota product."
"No it's not an Element, those are made by Honda."
"They just started selling 'em here this month, so you'll see a lot more in the future."

i dont mind the other question but its the "soccer mom" thing. well, i shouldnt worry about it much.

 

I here people say you got a shoe box or when they ask me what kind of car I have they'll say that little toy car, but wait till i put a body kit with finders and a paint job that will make it stand out than any car on the road, then well see how good the toy car will be.
