Ok, blow 1500 on rims that serve no purpose other then they look good or 400 on something that looks the same...i guess it must be nice to ____ away money.

SportMax 002's are your best bet.

Well, if you wanted a 4-spoke, you could go with the Rota Auto-X, but yeah, Sportmax 002s look quite awesome on an xB, aren't ridiculously priced, and have that cool zero offset.

you get what you pay for so dont cry if you bend a rim on a light pot hole

blackwagon
06-19-2006, 02:56 AM
you gotta pay to play...

heyitznosaj
06-19-2006, 02:57 AM
^^ Thats true but not for all. Basically get what you can afford. Rota makes some quality wheels even though they are knock offs.

Ok how about this, the rims don't bend on a pot hole and you know thats far fetched...but they also are not rated for auto crossing either. Since the xb is basically a rolling rice mobile I don't see that ever coming into play....play to pay...man go buy a benz then say you play anything. Because right now your driving a 14k non luxary veichle.

i wasnt trying to act like the xb is a benz.... never did i say the xb was a ricy piece of crap, i was just reccomending spending the extra money to make your mind at rest. knockoffs have a reputation for failure. i have personally see rotas crack and cause a blowout. alot rides on your rims... yourself, friends, family, girfriends, wives, not to mention other drivers on the road. i do not sell wheels. i am not encouraging you to buy any particular product, nor am i saying saving money is a bad idea. i have works on my ride and i was able to afford them because i found them used. imo it was money well spent. im trying to help you, take it easy

if you can save 700 bucks you can save 2k. it just takes longer. thats why it took me 4 months to get my Volk's

i purchased my black faced work euroline dh's for 2k, 18"x8.5" +25 in the front and +20 in the rear. they were expensive but well worth it. the fittement is dead on and they are real 2 peice wheels. take your time and do it the way you really want.

My Work Equip 01's weigh 12lbs. They are a three piece wheel. They can be ordered in more sizes and offsets than just about any other wheel. They are some of the most beautifully crafted wheels Ive ever owned. You get what you pay for.

Rotas, to my knowledge, because they are all cast, DO NOT BEND..........they crack. They shatter. What's the price of your safety?

Rolling rice mobile? :come:

It's PAY TO PLAY not PLAY TO PAY.

I AM TOO POOR TO BUY CHEAP STUFF.

(meaning- I don't want to buy something that will break on me or disappoint and have to buy ANOTHER set)

works do cost more than other wheels, but then again, rolexes cost more than timexes, b ut people still buy both........the important thing is, buy what you can afford......and be happy with what you got.............

to answer your question, you gotta specify which work model....but as to my knowledge, there are no knock off od the equips.......but sportmax makes a new mesh wheel that is patterned of the work vx-xx.......looks pretty good and good quality.

VoLktc

maicca is right forged rims bend. and since most forged rims are multi piece you can just buy the lip or center piece or w/e. if your rota's shatter so does your fender, maybe the front bumper and the side skirt. if that happens, well, your fake rims cost your more that the real deal

you guys need to understand that even if a wheel is a knock off that it doesnt mean its a POS.

HRE... prob one of the most pricey wheels you can buy, only found on HIGH dollar cars and guys with ALOTA cash to spend. umm ya there BANNED from SCCA and One Lap of America because they tend to crack/bend with ease...
so it happens to the best out there too.

BrianxB
06-21-2006, 12:32 PM
HRE is a crap wheel company anyway, they wont sell you a lip if you bend one of their 3 piece wheels.

I say just get what you want/can afford...

Some one else doesnt like it? GOOD THING ITS NOT THEIR CAR!

Its yours do what you want with it.

For example...Take me Im getting knock off work wheels too! Because Im 18 going to school (UTI) and working for minimum.

One day Ill have the money to get the car I want with the wheels I want...For now, knocks offs will have to do.

You might want to check out drag wheels. www.dragwheels.com. They have a few wheels that are knockoff replicas of Work wheels and you can usually get all 4 for between 450 and 550. Check ebay after you found the model you like off of their website.

KrAzY-ScionCE

Its drag that replicates the equip.
