Hey,
im new to the group, and i got my 05 Camo xB last saturday.
i love it so far, and the first thing i am going to do is get some bigger wheels. some 17 in motegi FF7s i believe.
the question i have for the xB owners is, do you have any mod ideas that you cant find in a catalog? i am a machinist, and have been trying to come up with some ideas on what to make for my xB to give it some personal flavor,
hey, if i like your idea, i might make one for you too!
my first idea is some new knobs for the A/C controls, out of aluminum,
but i dont know.
Send me an idea, and remember, im not selling anything, or looking to start a company, just want some ideas.

here's one I just finished but it lack the polish of proper tools:
I took the front badge off (three tabs in grill takes 3 seconds)
I took my scion keychain and put it on a bit of black screen. then placed that screen in the square where the badge was in the front grill.
will try to post pic.
makes a smaller front logo
would look better sodered and the grill could have a dressed edge.

i have the automatic trans, you find out the thread size, and i could make you a custom one for pretty cheap, and you could be the only one to have one...ever
a factory one is $49, ill make you a custom aluminum one for $25, just to say i did, that should cover my material and time., email me if you want anything special, and i can tell you weather or not it is possible
sound good?

do the little things first (cost-wise), ebrake handle, painting your interior etc. Some of these things will make a huge difference while being inexpensive.
Definitely do the tail and headlights and invest in some rimmmsss son

Um... replace all the body panels with lighter-weight aluminum? :) Aluminum engine cover? Battery bracket? Anti-sway bar? The possibilities are endless! :eyebrow:

I made a better knob for my radio; it's MUCH easier to grab onto when I'm wearing gloves 'cause it sticks out further and it's not tapered like the stock one. I made it out of cherry wood to match the cherry wood extension I put on the armrest. (I'm thinking of other cherry wood accents to do also . . . . ) My xB is an '06 so it probably has a different radio, but the idea is offered for your consideration.
