After bothering my dealer daily about the wait time I'm going to expect, after 4 days, I finally am told that they have to find one in port that they can trade for. I'm not asking for much, a PW xB AT. I just read the 2 month backorder post, and pray that I don't have to wait that long. I'm in IA, and I was wondering if anybody else has any experience with this process.

white is a tough color to get. everybody seems to want one. i have a waiting list about 3 months long for white.

I could find one in phoenix. However I got lucky and stopped at a dealer and the person who ordered it did want it.. So I snatched it up.

no it doesn't sound like he's giving you the runaround. unfortunately sometimes when the port doesn't fill your preference you've got to trade for it, and if there's only say 4 in the region and all are sold then it can be hard and a wait will unfortunately be involved.

Sorry about the wait :( Toyota's color allocations are typically regional. White vehicles are more likely to go to hotter climates where darker colors would be less popular. Try to get your salesman to search the region for a white xB and you might get lucky.
