Hi, first post :D
Anyway, just pickled up my '05 Polar White xB yesterday. I de-badged my old car using fishing line and it worked ok. Is there a better/safer/easier way to remove the 2 back badges?
Also, I have yet to have my 9-spoke wheel covers put on. I like the look of my flat black steel wheels. Has that old-scool tuner look to it. Any opinions on this? Anyone else have their wheel covers off?

for debadgeing i used a plastic wedge and the heat gun.
heat it up, jam the plastic wedge under a corner and lift it off.
it kind peels off, go slow if you want to reuse the badges elsewhere.
took 5 mins for both badges.

Fishing line or dental floss is the best way, real easy.
Personally I'm not a fan of no caps. Especially on a new car. If it was a used car your fixing up then it doesn't look quite as lame... close, but not quite...:?
I wouldn't suggest buying stock caps but if you've got them, I think it looks better than without. For $20-50 you can buy some aftermarket caps if you want to look different than stock while you're selecting your rims.

I was thinking of painting the wheel covers white to match the car. Any thoughts, pictures? Anybody done this?

since your xb is fairly new, you can take a screw driver to pry up on the corner and literally pry it off with your fingers.
