In the text it is referred to as a Suptercharger! A 20% increase in HP. That would take me to about 120 HP!!

It is critical that you have a high flow air

filter; our electric supercharger has high demands on fresh air.
that is my favorite part of that ebay listing!

Yea, please do not bash the setup. That user has sucessfully gotten that "eBay" supercharger to work. If you'd take time to understand how it really works and how its driven, you might learn a little.

I know exactly how it works, and it's a pile of crap. I'll be the first to be open to new ways of doing things...but this is not one of those times.

It's like hooking up a leaf blower to your intake. Actually, I have a good picture of something like that on my home computer. I'll post when I get home later.

So you've ran this setup on your tC?

It's another 'forced induction' mod that saps electricity, so that any gains it may have are mitigated by the electrical power it's taking up. You know how running your A/C, even having A/C installed saps horsepower? Same effect.

Just because you install a part and your Butt Dyno tells you the car is now "20% faster" doesn't mean you wouldn't have gotten the same effect buying an intake.

From the auction:

" When you win our auction, we will allow you to pick a chip up from http://www.stchiptuning.com to add to your vehicle. We will program it to work perfectly with you new Fight Club electric supercharging system. This is a $29.95 value we are throwing in for free !"

No legitimate company sells a performance chip for $29.95. This makes me think the 'Chip' being offered with the auction is one of the resistor setups, the ones that burn up your ECU and throw CEL's all over the place.
