hey guys i was just wondering wut u guys did wen u scratched ur rim on a curb or something? did u guys leave it or got it fixed?

 

It's usually a big PITA to actually get it fixed. There are some places that you could apparently mail them to (so I've heard), but you could also call around your area. Otherwise, might be best to just grab a replacement from eBay or the Classifieds or something. There are always people selling their OEM wheels.

Someone on here had a website that tells you how to fix the curb rash, but it was a PITA. I would just as soon buy a take off rim from sparks.

I have a curb rash on my one rim and I leave it there. I just keep telling myself that I'll be getting some new wheels, but...

 

I have two little rashes on one wheel but they are hardly noticeable so I don't really care.

 

+1...I'd rather save the money to get new wheels..

yea stock wheels r not that much... but when ur dad moves the car out of the driveway and scratches ur 18s THAT WILL SUCK TRUST ME

 

I just curbed one of my wheels in the almost 2 years of owning the vehicle about a week ago. It's not really noticable unless you're looking for it so I'm not going to replace the wheel.

 

how about the day you get your car and your dad drives it part off the curb and scratched the absolute crap out of the front lip and grinds gears b/c he was rolling backwards when he was trying to shift to first....

what about using a mother's polish on the rims, then buffing it out, a few times(for the little stratches)and covering with a little layer of wax

wouldn't the ease the appearance at least?
