Hey all,

The new Scion Life Dealer Review section is now active. Please take a moment to review your dealer (add your dealer if they aren't listed) so that future buyers can choose wisely. If you were ____ed off at a dealer then make sure you review them as well!

Baierl scion in Pittsburgh don't care about their customers. I put a deposit down and the dealer always seemed too busy to listen to me or work with my situation. I later canceled my check and went to Davis scion. I'd rather pay a $20 check cancel fee than deal with someone who does not give a S**t. The people at Davis have been great and have worked hard to find me my car with side air bags. A great personality and someone who can speak well on the phones goes a long way as far as I am concerned.

I ordered mine in Cranberry and the my dealer (Jason) was very nice and helpful and knew what he was talkin about.... i'm interested in learning more, lemmie know thanks!

TC_Sweetie, I went to the Bairel in Cranberry. Dealt with all the same people you did. I'd prefer not to name names. My sistuation is somewhat unqiue in that I bought the car exclusivly over the phone and sent the check in via mail. In currently in another state. Considering I was putting down a good chunk of money I expected the dealers to walk me through the process and give me as much details about the car, price and expected delivery of the car. I was looking for one with side airbags. Once I told them I wanted the car and that I would send in a check they stopped caring about me. Everything I asked seemed to be an inconvience to them and that they had no time to deal with me or my questions. Needless to say their ability to speak on the phone needs alot of work, on all members of the staff that I dealt with.

I called on a number of occasions with very specific questions, spoke to the people directly and left messages asking for answers. In all cases I was promised a return call by the end of the working day. No calls EVER came. So the day my check was due to arrive I called the dealer stopped payment on my check and did not order the car from them. I figure I had to be one of the easiest sales they were going to have, I knew what I wanted when I called and was willing to pay for it in cash. They blew it and Davis Scion who were nice and accomodating understood my situation and they get my money. I live closer to Bairel than I do to Davis and I may still use Bairel for services but I'd rather travel further for better service.

oh wow that sucks.... I think i may have an idea who you delt with, but im not 100% sure though either.. The day i put my deposit down i called to see when the next shipment was and the guy on the phone was totally clueless about any of the tc's.... so when i went in i asked for the person i dealt with in the first place because i think he's the guy who specializes in the scion's.

And as far as the call backs well, the day i put my deposit down i filled out a credit app and was told they'd call me back when they knew the final results.. i called them yesterday because i waited 2 days w/ no call but i found out that it was supposed to be someone else who should've called me back cuz someone else ran my credit app.

Anyways, im glad things are going to work out better for you at Davis.... what color did you order and when is yours coming in?? And also how close do you live to bairel?? I live 10 mins from it..

I'm in mars. So probably around 10 mins too, I'm not really sure I have yet to move to the area. I ordered an Indigo Ink auto with side airbags. According to the manager at Davis who actually took my order my car landed in the US about 10 days ago and should be getting to the area any day now if not already. I don't move to Pitt until June 30 but at least I won't have to wait for my car.

I live in So Cal, the few dealerships I've been to are...

Power in Buena Park.

Forgot the guy's name, but he had an attitude like he could care less if I were laying on the ground with crushed legs after being run over by an xB.

Toyota of Orange.

Steve was a nice enough guy to let me know the tC's wouldn't arrive for another 3 weeks, gave me his card, and let me go...insead of push me onto other cars.

Longo Scion.

Sergio told me that they are all spoken for for the next 2-3 months. Then I couldn't believe he actuall said, "You could go somewhere else, but you'll be paying a $3,000 markup." This coming from a Scion dealer?? What's up with that? Did someone not tell him about the Pure Price thing? I didn't even bother arguing with him. I could tell from the sound the computer he was at, that he was getting Instant Messages and was too busy tell me anymore about the car.

Bob Smith Toyota.

I believe this was in La Crescenta. Jesse let me test drive a blue tC. He was cool. Told me a little about the car. Put me on a list. I expected more dealers like this guy in my shopping experience.

Glendale Scion.

Read about some bad experience, but a few friends have had some GOOD experiences...

I think Matt is the coolest dealer of all of them. One of the nicest dealers PERIOD. Ranks up there with a couple guys I met at Acura dealerships. And I'm the kinda guy that likes to hang out at dealerships to talk schmack about cars on occasion...for FUN. Matt is a younger guy with lotsa enthusiasm. He sees the potential of a good rep on Scion Life, but knows the small size of their lot limits what they can do. He mentioned he would love to organize a meet/drive at Glendale Scion or some place nearby...oh and, he actually DRIVES an xA! How many dealers drive what they sell?

I thought I would get my car from Longo...but just from this experience, I'm only dealing with Matt....or Jesse(because he's the only other guy I gave my number too.)

Wow, I'm excited to see some other scion future owners in my area, TC_Sweetie and nuhusky.

I've been dealing with 3 local dealerships, Baierl, Davis and Diehl. Davis as indeed been the most helpful, but there is a good chance i will end up getting the car at Diehl. Diehl is in butler county so cheaper sales tax.

When we all have our cars we will need to set up a meet, i've only seen on xB in the area so far so our tC are really going to stick out.

just out of curiosity how old are the Pittsburgh area owners, Stern, Tc_Sweetie? Also when do the two of you take ownership of your cars?

I'm 22.

University Motors in morgantown West Virginia tried to give me 15k trade in on my 03 auto Celica gts ( I hate auto)..... All I can say is blue book gives me at least 17k and 20 private. Going to try a few other dealerships in the area, and if all else fails I'll sell my car privately and get an RSX or something.

Wanted a tC but I'm not going to put up with a bad trade in.

Well so far Stevinson Toyota/Scion West in Denver has been great to me. Sales girl Holly knew quite a bit and could even answer my questions, treated me like an actual person. So, I ordered my car and it should be here in 4-6 weeks.

I would also like to mention that my dealer told me that if I was buying a different car such as a camery that he would be able to give me blue book value for my car...

Why tell an 18 year old who already owns a toyota and is very happy with it that your going to screw him on the trade in? I wont buy another toyota because of the way this guy treated me once he found out that the car I was currently driving was worth more than the tC I wanted.

Matt at Glendale Scion - I just got my indigo ink pearl TC and I'd have to say that he was great. I had been dealing with Ventura and Thousand Oaks Toyota and as often as they told me they'd get me what I wanted it never really seemed liked they cared that much. Matt was cool and easy to deal with. No bs.

I love my car! :D

John at Hudson Toyota/Scion in NJ. When you enter the toyota dealership, there a vultures of salespeople wanting to eat you alive but i quickly made my way through them and inside the scion section.

the nononsense approach was great.. ive been shopping for a car for 2 months now and this was the easiest visit i had. i test drove the car and we takled about features and stuff. when we returned, he just asked us, what we thought and immidately talked about price. straight up price from the internet.. i got my tC with just wheel locks and security system. he added the tax, destination, titles, etc. in 2 min i know how much my car was gonna be total. the only problem was there was no tC in the color i wanted so i opted to wait. he couldn't do the finance because the car was not there, but he ran my credit .. gave my score and gave me a price range of what i would expect. he did not b/s #'s or promised that this is what i would exactly get. in the end i dropped $1000 down to hold my tC when it arrives and now im just waiting to hear from him.

I purchased my TC at Freeman Scion in Santa Rosa, CA on 7/3. I contacted my sales person, Brandon at the beginning of June and asked him to let me know when the TC's arrive. Brandon called me on 7/1 as two new TC's were being unloaded from the carrier. I went right over to see one up close. I could not drive it as it was right off the truck and wasn't prepared yet. Next day I went back and Brandon made sure the car was ready for the test drive. I went home for the night to think about it and on Saturday morning had my wife take a look and purchased my Indigo Ink with auto, side curtains, 6 disk changer and mats. No ADM and the doc fees were only $75. No games, no pressure. My wife has a RAV4 from Freeman also. Highly recommended! Tell Brandon Phil the TC owner sent you! Freeman Scions number is 707-542-3055.

I had been waiting for the TC to arrive before making my purchase decision. I contacted five dealers at the beginning of June to let me know when the TC's arrived so I could see and test drive one. As of now, I am still waiting for calls from Hansel, Novato, Fairfield and Vallejo even though I know they had a few. Too bad for them.

i am renouncing my relatively good review of Hudson Toyota in Jersey City, NJ. Not only did they keep me waiting forever, they decide to automatically throw in additional warrenty on the car.. ok das fine .. but when i added in the total pricce of the car .. theres a 800 additional that i dont know where it is.. i can only take a look at the additional warrenty.. omg scion has really dissappointed me in the way they deal with customers..

Fremont Toyota (California) treated me well when I ordered, tested, and bought my tC. That was the only dealership that actually responded when I sent out the configuration sheet I made on the Scion website to all the dealers in my local area. Ordering my Scion was painless and very strictly "by the book..." (Dropped in, re-searched the Scion, got it configured and priced, then put down the deposit for the order to be processed). The first visit was completed in under 20 minutes. I got my tC in about 2 weeks. Even though they promised it would be there within 7-10 days, they called me on the 7th day after my deposit to keep me posted on my order. They called me again to notify that the car was on its way. Once the car came, we got the thrid call, dropped in, tested it out, and made the purchase in less than 2 hours. No pressure from the Scion dealer, although what took up the most time was when the dealer transferred us to Finance, where we were pressured by a rude guy to buy the extended warranty and a service package. After that unpleasent moment, the check was written, and the tC was given a full tank of gas before he handed us the keys.

Great experience....quick service....ask for Ned or Jeff at that dealership.

I went to Bert Wolfe in Charleston, WV. I had a great experience there. The guys there bent over backwards to try and help me. I got my car 1 day after they told me it would be in. I did call once and get the run around but neither of my salesmen were there. Even though it wasn't their fault, my salesman called me the next day and apologized. He had been off the day before. I will do business with these guys for years to come. If you are near WV. Call Kenny or Will and they will take care of you.

Findlay Toyota/Scion
(Henderson, NV)

I drove over there to simply test drive the xB (because at the time, my dad was planning on getting me that) and I thought that I should test drive a tC just for kicks. I got Mauricio, and he knew fully well that I wouldn't be buying within a few days, as well as me possibly buying from somewhere else. He took me on a test drive in both vehicles, and showed me all the cool things that you can do and he let me really see the power of the two cars (power in an atx xB? lol), and the handling of both. I feel bad, because my father says he won't buy it out here in Vegas. So for all of you who will buy it here in Vegas, def. go see him!

It's probably lat to join this thread, but just saw how many people in Butler/Pittsburgh area were posting. I get my car serviced at Diehl and have been very please so far. I bought the car in Ohio though because I knew the dealer and he gave me $500 towards accessories.

Any chance of a meet? Always looking to see what people are doing to their cars in person...

Toyota/Scion of North Hollywood are a bunch of crooks. Avoid them like the plague. One of their salesperson once said to my uncle who was driving a Toyota Previa and was looking at a Sienna, "Hey buddy, get a new van, that van you're driving is no good." I find it funny how a Toyota sales person will talk crap about products that THEY SELL.

Hollywood Toyota/Scion are also a bunch of crooks.

Longo Toyota/Scion are cool guys. I never felt pressured there.

Toyota/Scion Gardena are also cool guys, that's where I got my tC. Only took me 35minutes for the whole deal.

Toyota/Scion Rancho Santa Margarita are also cool guys. It's a long drive, but well worth it.

I went to Desert Scion in Vegas. I really hate salesmen BS so I went through the Fleet manager, picked the car I want and finished the deal with a Scion salesmen. It was easy and the service is nice. If you're looking to buy a Scion in Vegas ask for Nick.

Any chance of a meet? Always looking to see what people are doing to their cars in person...

If you're willing to drive down to Pittsburgh, there's a group of us that have meets.. usually about once a month. There's a meet in the works now but no set date yet.
