Default SCION now has a base model TC

"SPEC Package TC" has just arrived as a 2007 base model TC.
Sticker price states $16,340 at the dealership I work at.

This TC does not have PWR slide/vent sunroof, cruise control, steering wheel audio controls, and 17' alloy wheels.

Glass Roof
TC still has the panoramic roof. The roof is one big glass compared to the 3 piece glass roof w/ PWR sunroof.
Wheels
Has 16' steel wheel w/ wheel covers. Also has a new tire pressure valve sensor on each wheel.

Headlight housing also has a small difference in design compared to 05' and 06' headlights.

Very strange. Looks like they forgot to put the chrome rings on the headlights.

Can you take a picture of the glass roof for us?

Yeah, it's too bad Scion couldn't get their dealerships to stop lying instead of going around the Pure Price thing.

yes, its the rally edition Tc.........man, its not worth the savings in my book.
the only thing in my book that would make any sense is to offer the steelies on a standard Tc for those who want to switch out the wheels.

Looks like they forgot to lower the price when they got rid of all that stuff.

Yeah. Or is that the Dealership?

This can't be real can it? Is your particular dealership putting out an "Extra Special" edition of the tC that doesn't exist?

Hopefully, they won't sell this one over the weekend. If the car is still there when I start work Monday morning, I'll try to remember getting that one shot for you.

Personally, I think the headlights are plain black. Not as flashy as the previous ones.

No. That's why I provided a pic. of the window sticker details.

But this doesn't make sense. ALL Scions are mono-spec, except for the Release Series editions.

Default spec tC

This particular model is intended for those who want to modify their car more than others - the seats are cheaper, no cruise control, steel wheels w/hubcaps, no opening sunroof - their (Scion) intent was to provide a more base model vehicle for those are most likely going to remove those stock items and replace them w/mods. The intent was not to have a "base" model tC that was cheaper than a regular model, although that is one of the first things that a lot of people see.

Accept it or not. Start your own research. These pics. are proof and I work at Toyota/Scion. So this is legitimate.

This doesn't make any sense. Why would you buy a car with missing options for the same price as a car with all options.

I don't care if you're going to change the wheels--so what. You can take off stock rims and sell them. What can you do with hubcaps?

This doesn't make any sense, and seems VERY suspicious to me.

Especially when there is Zero mention of it on the Scion website. I see Release Series, but there is no "Rally Series" on that site.

^^ there's no "rally editon" tC... they were joking about that.

it is the tuner editon. they are just listing it as the spec package.
