For all you locals, I went up to Boost Factory tonight. The place where we had the last Scion meet.

It is a lil more organised up there nowday's, Chuck hired a new guy. He does all the scheduling. Instead of trying to do every aspect of it himself. So if ya had a hard time getting in before...now its easy. His name is Mike, he has a ton of tatoo's and is a really cool guy!

I had my mid pipe repalced behind the OEM Cat, to My Borla axle back. They put in 2 1/4 inch pipe with a high flow resonater. I notice a huge difference in power. Before there was laaaag, now its more responsive when I give er' the gas. Sounds a ton better too! Much deeper in sound, not ricey like a fart can either. The OEM mid pipe was about an inch...so yea, 1 and a quarter inch more of breathing room with the aem cai...equals goodness. Now I just need a header. Somone got one for sale?? It can be used!

I believe he will be making an exhaust for all xB's quite soon for sale. He just needs to get seller privliges on scionlife and hes's set.

I dont think he will have a problem...zpi's product is pretty...umm....yea...a kindergardner could build what they build. For 4k too...they are not even intercooled and dont come with any fuel management. There is no blow off valve either so boost is runnin back into the motor. without a tune, thats a good way for your stuff to blow real fast. ZPI uses an internal wastegate..

Heres some of the work the Boost Factory has been putting out recently. This stuff is 100% higher quality, he lines you up with RS motors for tuning the day you get your car outa the shop.

Just FYI - I paid 3600 and it [will be] intercooled, and comes with fuel management, and a blowoff valve, and an external wastegate. 8)

Yes, but you got a deal, the kit is 4k. Chuck would probably only charge 2k and youd have it all in 2 weeks. You can aslo go to his shop just to hang out and drink. Can you get drubnk at zpi?? lol... j/k
External WG is only if you plan on running high boost ie: 20psi. Otherwise internal is where its at (for us slow xB's lol)

You doin an FMIC or SMIC?

:blah:

But it wouldn't be as pretty! :eyes: :silly:

I don't regret going with ZPI still though - partially because of how many tCt's they've got out on the road. I don't wanna be a gunnea pig. Chuck says he wants to run a T3/T4 turbo, just like other companies on this forum typically do... and a lot of times guess who ends up fixing their stuff?

Not saying I have no faith in Chuck... I hope he goes and reads through SL thoroughly looking for experiences with different kits so he can benefit from their experience and come out with something that doesn't have the same problems other companies' kits do. Then he can run it on sales. 8) I will be talking to BF! though about an exhaust probably. That $250 deal is going to be hard to beat.

I'm going to go put in a pyrometer - lata.

Wouldnt be as pretty... hahahah thats funny. It may not be pretty but after chuck built it and tuned it you could prob make a hell of alot more HSP than your stage 0 kit for half the price you payed... Ps I didnt know you bought a turbo kit to look pretty.. Its made to boost no to shine.

Chuck was pretty impressed with the numbers it made on the dyno.

And that was a joke. :P
