Default I know the tC clear coats cheap, but bird crap leaves marks?

It was hot today and a bird crapped on the center of the hood, I cleaned it off, and washed the car today and it left a mark in the paint, like it baked it and it looks waves where the crap was...I tried to buff it out, but its like it landed on the clear coat, sizzled, and left the clear coat messed up.

This paint is lame, it scratches way too easy and I'm a perfectionist w/ my car, and it makes it hard to be that way.

If it was hot enough... it could leave a mark... but I think it's too early to tell if it's permanent. It could come off in a couple of washes.

That being said... yes, it's crappy clearcoat and it's possible that it'll stay.

Exactly. Clean it, 3-stage the area then you'll be good to go

Like everyone has said, bird crap will do that to any paint job, under the right (or wrong!) conditions.

Just wait a couple washes. Good on you for getting it off there fast, though.

well, if you have a porter cable polisher, you should be able to polish and buff it out with a medium cut pad and a decent abrasive compound. ask a pro-detailer to fix it, it should be under $20 and take little time

but honestly, i've gotten week old bird stains out with some scratch-x.

So do I. I have a thing of Meguiar's Quik Detailer in the trunk, and a couple microfiber towels in case of bird bombs.

Although, I used to carry as much stuff as TeeCizzle... I just don't have time to use it on the road anymore. Lol.
