Default has anybody installed the OEM sport grey steering wheel?

i just bought one from someone of the forum and tried installing it the other day. everything was cake but the instructions said i needed a special tool from toyota. so when it came down to it, i realized that special tool was a pulley mechanism that would pull the stock wheel off. i tried to rig up my own with what i had but to no avail. has anybody installed this wheel themselves? if you did, how did you get pass the special tool part?

i'd like to avoid having the dealer install it if possible. mayb i'll ask to rent the tool from them or somethin if it comes down to it.

put the nut back on by 4-5 threads and try to wiggle it off. i've replaced many steering wheels and never had to use the puller. just put some ___ into it and it should come right off. make sure your steering wheel is perfectly centered first.

Same wheel for both 05-06.The buttons aren't part of the wheel.

That actually looks pretty good with the steering wheel controls surround.
