Default xA: When do the 07's come out? Any Changes?

We all know the 06's got a facelift. Does anyone know what is in store for the xA in the 07 model year?

Also, when are the 07's coming out? I have a car on order now and will probably not get it till August. Will it be an 06 or an 07? If it means waiting a few extra weeks, I'd wait for the 07. Anyone know?

Rumor has it that the 07s will come out in January and will be completely different. Check out the 2008 Rumors forum for more info.

I talked to my salesamn yesterday and he told me the xA will not be produced after December and that the next gen scion will not be out until June or July, and the area rep. had no idea what the next gen. was going to be or look like.

This is from Fitzgerald Scion in Maryland.

The 2008 xA will also come out in early 2007, no word at all on the design. Just that they are going for a all new look on both models.

This means that the 2006 model will shortly be hard to find. We just recieved a good amount of them so Scion is going to do their best to build up inventories and support them as long as possible. Pretty much expect their to be no xA's or Xb's on the market for up to 6 months between the transition.

As for the tC, as has been discussed Scion plans to keep the current "Spec Package" in production. The majority of tC owners prefer to customize the appearance rather than buy a special edition of the vehicle.

The information I have been digging up is that the new xA will be an 08 model. As such, even with an early delivery of the new model, I find it hard to believe that there will be no xA's considered as 07's.

That is a fact. No 2007's for the xA or xB. the tC will have an 07 model, though.

WThell??? Is this a reverse phsycology thing?
Why not 2007 Scions?

Sometimes this bites ppl in the @ss.
I mean cmon, noone intentionally makes their cars hard to get!

I went out on a limb buying my 2006 xA. I got it on a friends rec.

That certainly does NOT tie me to Toyota by any means! They better keep the Scion going and keep it HOT.

I'll bail and not think anything of it.

You have your 06 so what does it matter to you. the 08's will be out in about 6 months and they still have plenty of vehicles on the lot right now. If they do run out I'm sure it will only be at a few dealerships and they have the RS models coming out later this year so I don't think people should be too worried about not being able to get a car.

No way. There's no way that Scion is going to only sell the tC for several months — that would be SO counter productive it wouldn't even be funny. Think of the losses. I don't believe it. Until I hear word from Toyota directly, this is all speculation and nothing more.

Just because they say there won't be 07 models doesn't mean you won't have cars on the lots. They will just sunset production on the 06 models which means there will be plenty of cars available. They just aren't going to be producing tons of cars months before they go out of circulation. Its not that uncommon.

the cars will be produced through Dec., after that, the next production will not hit the streets until June or July. They will have cars available, but in a limited quantity, when they're gone, they're gone.

I've heard from dealers that the new models will be out around April.

I guess VW did that with the Golf/Rabbit/GTI, didn't they? So the 2006s will carry through until the 2008s (introduced in 2007) show up.

We'll see.

That's exactly what happened with VW. I drive a 03 golf and was going to get the rabbit but I decided to wait and see what the new scions look like. In Austin, for months before the release of the rabbit the lots had almost no golfs.

Its not an 07. Scion.com hasn't announced the release of 07's. Any info asked about the 07's will get you a response of "We do not have any information at this time." If the 07's were released they would definitely have more than just one getting shipped to them. And there would've been an announcement about it. The information you received from that dealer is incorrect.

The tC will have an 07 model but it will only be available in the "spec package."
