Most dealerships, if not all, are asking for a deposit either to order or hold a tC. I deposited $500, some are 250, 1000; they differ per dealership. You do NOT have to finance until the car comes in and you make a final decision whether or not to buy it.

Yup, all we need is a deposit.

Deposit only. That is, unless your credit sucks so bad that the dealer doesn't believe you can pay for it once it does come in. They don't want to take a car off the market for other customers in cases like this.

These cars will sell so the dealer is unlikely to ask for a credit check. All you need is a deposit with the amount varying by dealer. The two dealers I went to in my area wanted $200 and $500, both refundable.
