Ok - started on all the little 'annoying' stuff...

Everything except the manifold has shipped and should be here by this next monday.

I've setup the e-manage and injectors, pulled the oil pan and have been prepping all the stuff I can.

Started mocking up the FMIC for mounting - should have it complete tonight... I'm leaving the stock black grill over the FMIC because I don't want no po-po trouble around here ;) They love me!

Also got the TURBO AND WASTEGATE today!!! w00t!

All that is left is the electronics and the bung for the wideband I've completed alot of the other stuff should be done when the manifold shows up ;) w00000t! I'll have alot of pics and details shortly after I get it all together, these are all just some teasers :P

Nonononoooo ... let me get technical... the soap is my idea of gliding through the air... You rub down your tC with DEZOD SOAP and it reduces your drag coefficient letting you slip seamlessly *and leave a nice scent* through the air amounting to an effective 4.3whp gain above 50mph from the more other lesser and not so more equalling the morer drag than before. :rofl:

Joe - I think Paul was thinking 'Cool Water Scent' and I think it will be 'Zesty Levered Doves' in the end.

Well - I'm stuck driving a slow NON turbo Subaru until everything shows up.

Took my car to the 'Garage of Doom' AKA my friends parents house who are gone for the summer where I will be drinking *cough* I mean installing everything, its' up in pieces and my intake and header are sold and gone so it's layin on the jackstands inoperable.

*sniff - poor tC all alone in that garage.

I really enjoy it as it fit's my driving style as I an not a smooth driver.

In the places you can get hooked up you will get a real kick out of the acceleration though, literally!

Just a suggestion, but you should look into water/meth injection to help keep temps down. Running it that hard will create a lot of heat and drasticly shorten the life of your motor.

S/C might have been a better option for autox, but I can't say I blame you for wanting to go turbo, more bang for the buck and a blast to drive.

Anyhow congrats and good luck.

I ran a D2 Auquamist setup on my SM class turbo Matrix in 2003, it really does help alot!

It was rather costly so it is nice to see others making kits now, I would very much want one that is metered according to boost level and shuts off completely when the trottle plate is closed;)

Everything was packed VERY well - a complete fit kit (sweet! Thats quality install stuff) -

Urrgghhh I'm gonna have to budget my install time so I don't run out of things to do before the rest shows up haha.

The deadline is quite safe - I have spent since I started this thread over a couple weeks putting everything together one thing at a time carefully inspecting and rechecking work and fittament... I am a details kinda guy.

EVERYTHING is done excpet what needs to be put on with the manifold - I alotted myself 3 hours of cushion to get that all bolted up -

8PM is just starting the car, if all starts well then a 15 min cruise stop and recheck and tighten - then some more driving to get everything seated well and up to temp and start monitoring A/F etc while logging and see what tunning needs to be done.

I'm doing a long drawn out process on this because I just want it built RIGHT.

Good luck with it man, looks like you're doing it right, and that's awsome. Hope the boost does well with the cones. I'd love to see you kick more a$$ in thoes vids!

if you have either w/o management the car is deff going to not run right w/ a bov ... if you dont know it is ....it still is ...because the sensor has no clue why the air is getting messed up (when it blows off).

even w/ an emanage, there still was issues.. that was just one of them. I had the dezod turbo kit and sold it.

If you floor it and then have to stop suddenly and brake, the rpms will drop and car will 98% of the time stall. Very impressive to onlookers.

I must say, this particular thread shows a nice install and fitment (as far as I can tell)

Something to keep in mind - without any mods, your head shield melt and hood liner will burn, so be aware.

Ok - I got a quick min...

I'm fabbin up an open dump tomorrow - so I got a downpipe without a dump tube, so I am _____ footin' it with wastegate closed until we get it on tomorrow.

Car is running great - I can't do any pulls yet but I let it build slowly into 10-11psi I couple times and felt good but AFR needs a tweak at first it was so rich I got 60miles out of a half tank now that improved. Other than that I'm only cruisin and not building any boost.

So - tomorrow open dump then start the tune and change the plugs to a colder plug that's not been exposed to that rich run heh

The dump for the wastegate is in with pics to come and found out my running like crap problem - had a injector grommet that I didn't seat well and it was creating a vacuum problem and takin in unmetered air.

FYI for everyone that sees this, I have been around fast cars a great deal in my life and I am 54. I have won regionaly championships in autocross(none SCCA) and have been playing with imports and driving them hundreds of thousands of fun miles for nearly 40 years. Paul is a damn fast driver and I want him in my car to help me judge just how well I am building it. If I can't get the job done then I still can get allot of enjoyment out of seeing what all my efforts and expense has resulted in. For that I am willing to spend a few bucks and put somebody in the car that is better than me, I can live with that:)

I am in the middle of a huge surge in our business, having a new house and shop built in Utah and preparing to move there but I want my car at this big event and to see how it stacks up against the best cars and drivers there are in a very fast class so willing to spend the time and money to get it there, though I know we cannot win in normal wheel to wheel but these events are a bit different and with the right driver, who knows;)

Sorry man, Not here. This town is full of BOV's, American V8's that run 5's in the 1/8th, 548whp Civic Coupe, 320whp Spec V, 300whp Scion tC (us) and just an all around Car/Motorcycle town. We gather EVERY Friday/Saturday night at the spot, and just have a block party, and NOT ONE Singal Cop EVER rolls by. Not even to check on us (and people be doing burnouts and launching out of the lot when they leave) At one point, when we use to gather at the other spot, a cop came by because some people where acting out of place, and he told us as a group (like 50-100 people) that, as long as we don't do crap on this Main street, and act a fool, that it's all good. I Quote "We don't care if you race, as long as you take it out far up 840 somewhere".

One of my friends used to have a SRT-4, he was right at around 400whp +, The fastest ive ever been in a car was in a SRT-4 @ 160mph racing another SRT-4 on the freeway. :shock: :pray: :relief:

yep same here. kinetics DBB 50trim. 400+ I wanted to do that to my 4 but i really liked the TC with a turbo. Cooler looking.

The SRT was one of my other choices when I bought my tC. I was looking at, 05 SRT-4, 06 WRX, 06 GTI, 06 Si, 06 tC, Audi A4 used. The looks are what sold me on getting a tC. My second choice to the tC was the WRX.

I almost got an 05 Si till I drove the tC - it was love at first shift.

I got the boost controller tightened up better I'm holding right under 12psi now and it's HELLA smooth power.

Holding about 11.2-11.9

I didn't pay attention and my coolant level was too high and came out and I had a oil journal bolt just a lil loose so I saw some coolant and oil coupled with a brief freak out until I noticed what it was and quickly tightened up the bolt.

Happens :P

OMG I LOVE this FRIGGIN kit though - the power picks up FAST but never lets off.

The problem with the srt4 is that it is still a neon...and still a dodge...

funny thing is when i had mine for 2 years, I didnt have 1 rattle, squeak or a single problem with it. Drove it like i stole it everyday. Boosted 20psi stock turbo. Ran strong.

Now the TC, It rattles and squeaks like its going to fall apart. Drives me nuts.

And the 4 never spun a bearing and it can handle 500whp no problem. But 2 different cars for 2 different people.

anyway the 4 dosent look as sexy as the tc when turbo'd.

Those pulls are incredible!! I think you better not get too high of hopes about the traction though. With that much power it still might not exist even with the best tire! :lalala: :P

How quick does that t3/t4 spool? The video sounded awesome..

Fast - 2nd gear has nearly instant response and it doesn't let up. That vid was me at about 2800-3000rpms in 2nd and nailing it.

Its a beautiful thing whatching the boost gauge go FLYING

My open dump wastegate is so loud though but its a good gauge of how fast it hits.

I'm glad it's all working out for you man. Can't wait to see the results.

Its as safe as your tune and setup - I wouldn't recommend everyone doing it if they do not know what to do.

Yesterday I set it about 10.5 and it peaks about 11.2... I'm going to tune it there.

Yeah - lag is pretty much null and no hesitation in power just a tad rich

When I tune it is gonna run like butter.

Can't wait. Renting the Dyno for a hour.

well atleast runninch rich is better then lean. shouldnt be much to fix that problem. shows us the dyno and a/f rating when they come out.
