iPod AUX vs. direct
How does an iPod sound hooked up to the iPod-capable radio versus just using the AUX jack? I plugged in a friend's mp3 player in the AUX and it was too quiet on even the highest volume. I'm thinking about buying a Nano and upgrading to the iPod-capable head unit.
i just bought a new headunit... its awsome!!

I have this one with the full speed cable $15 and it is freaking SWEET! you have full control from your stereo of all your playlists. Plus if you ever plan on putting better speaker in this is a very good unit to add to.

If you're talking about the Scion factory iPod upgrade, the sound quality is much better using the iPod connection over the AUX. In addition, you get the controls for the iPod in the headunit. That doesn't work with the AUX.
