Default custom intakes for s/c (supercharger) ?

Are there a lot of guys cutting their CAI intakes and making s/c intakes out of them? I rarely hear anybody talk about the s/c intake and that makes me believe people are doing something but just arent talking about it. What have people found out about the s/c stock box intake? Please vent people.

I am about a week or 2 from buying my tig welder i am seriously considering making an intake for the S/C after i make my own exhaust system. I am going to be selling both but i do not have my Tig welder yet

I have been working on a couple of designs for the intake but i am not sure about placement of the MAF. and how that affects things. with the design i could go simple and do a similar route as stock with the S/C or go really crazy and make it to where the battery has to be relocated. not sure still up in the air.

when i get my welder and do my exhaust i will post pics and get it ran on a dyno.
Then i will make a jig and and start fabbing up some more. It will be DTM style exhauts. not mandrel bent. cause im not gonna buy a bender if i dont sell any.

Thats what i thought needed to be done. i heard moving it changes all the readings it will get. i am preaty sure im gonna have to get a volt meter and log what signal it is sending out at different loads. but keeping it in the same place would mean a similar intake setup as it has i could only add piping in front to make it a CAI which i think is a bad idea cause of water getting in the S/C. but ill see what i can do all of that comes after the exhaust though.

I just cut my Injen short ram intake pipe and put it on the silicone hose that was connected to the stock air box. I also recommend using a AEM Dryflow filter like I did because my Injen filter messed up my MAF sensor before and I had to get a new one. In last months issue of Super Street they had the HKS CAI on their TRD supercharged tC if you wanna take a look, its the July issue.
