View Full Version : Help Me Pic my Rims( Updated with a Pic) the last post
Xmanjr 07-05-2006, 06:40 PM So I just got my XB last week and now im ready to get my Rims.
So help me pick whihc one I should go with, I have narrowed it down to these 2.
They both will be 18s on Kuhmos 225 40 18

iyzmi 07-06-2006, 05:16 AM I'm not a fan of 5-spoke rims, they usually look very plain but those look nice. That said I still like the 2nd ones better.

Good choice on the Kuhmos. What ones are you planning? I have the ecsta 711's and love them. Plus the prices are realistic.

Yeah i was definitely getting one with a lip.
As for the tires. I was told by a good friend that Ecsta 711 were theones to get and the best part is that thy are inexpensive. Justlike you said.
Thanks for the feedback boys!! Looks like I will be going with the RS GT #1. Hopefully that th same deal is still on the table as I was giving. If all goes well I will post pics by the end of the week

dminner 07-10-2006, 11:24 PM I would go with the first one. I always think an odd number of spokes looks better for some reason. Also a really don't like the fake bolt, multi-peice wheel look.
ElChupacabra 07-10-2006, 11:29 PM Be careful with a 225/40/18 tire. Thats what I run and I have some rub issues. Make sure you get the offset right and do the research first before making the same mistake I have. I bought my rims second hand from another xB owner and he failed to mention the rub issue. Its really only at full turn on the wheel and when I hit a large bump since Im lowered almost 3.5"...

Xmanjr 07-11-2006, 04:44 AM OK so I went back to finish my order and it was going to be 820 out the door with my choice of tires. Well now its a different story 985.00 and I get some cheap knockoff pirelli tires :no:
So I can go up some dollars for the Kuhmos I want but I have to wait 2 weeks.
and im still paying about 1000 for the difference. So I found these
750 with Toyo tires Prozes fz4
Let me know what you guys think?

GetCaughtDead 07-11-2006, 12:08 PM yeah, those enkei's would look sick on my tC! I think they'd be a very good alternative to #1. I guess it depends how much you liked #1 though.
