How old are you, do you speak normal English? Not baby, jibberish English? :?

How do you ding a windshield? If its a crack, they have repair kits. Its if bad, get it professionally repaired.

Hey, Richard, ease up on the caffeine son! I got a ding on my windshield during my first road trip, a small pock mark on the glass, not a break, not a crack, just a small divot. IMHO, you could probably use a tiny bit of crazy glue to fill the ding, provided that it was really small (mine is smaller than a pin head). Of course, if you really want to be neurotic, you could use real windshield repair glue.

Go here http://www.netrax.net/~nwra/

They have a nationwide network of certified peeps that come out to you and they usually just need to be able to park next to or in front of your ride. They do an eval of the chip and can get it to be less visible to nearly invisible depending on the severity of your chip and the way light can hit it it is a pretty good deal.

Doesn't take long and in some situations your auto insurance covers it. It's not expensive for what they do. The person doing the eval usua;;y will say if it is even worth it in regards to safety and such.

I had a good experience with one of these guys and am happy with not having to replace the whole windshield...good luck!

I just called my insurance company (Erie) to find out the story on windshields. If the glass place can fix it (under the size of a quarter) the insurance company waives the deductable ($500 in my case) and it goes under comprehensive coverage so it doesn't cost me anything. if they have to replace it then i'd have to pay up to $500 (my deductable). Don't have a clue what that would be for a new windshield. I have a 9 am apt tomorrow to see. Sure do hope they can fix it!

Good luck Steph, fingers crossed. The windshield guys are pretty good, in my case, the rock chip hit practically in my line of sight on the windshield so it was killing me to drive around and see it no matter what. It was about the size of a nickel and it didn't spread so, I was lucky.

After the repair I can only see it maybe 5% of the time during the day and really only when the light catches it at a specific angle.

I really wanted to get a new windshield but, at the time the cost was too high and I really wanted new wheels

Hope they can waive it...Let us know how it all turns out...
