Default 90% of New Scion tC's are 2007

This is including cars sitting on lots and all the tC's in transit are now 2007.

Just thought I'd let everyone now.

Mostly for those future owner's out there.

Good Luck. Happy hunting for those of you who want 06's.

90% of new cars are new cars? What? No! That's crazy!

All generalizations are false!

There's still 2006es out there... I know of a couple RS2.0's that haven't been sold yet (probably).

whenever I check inventory of my local dealers it seems most stock is indeed 07 and there are only 1-2 06's left, and usually they're all RS 2.0's

Go look around. It might be a statistic. But it seems to be nothing but true. Production of 06's stopped. I'm talking about cars on lots and cars on the way to lots. Think about it. Don't just pretend you know everything and think it's a generalization. I'm just saying a fact that seem to be true.

It's just that, since Scions seem to be released fairly early--I got mine in October of '04, about three or four months after it's release, since I'd been 'on the dealership search'--it's more of a no-brainer than an FYI.

The cars came out in Mid June, '04, according to the tC page of this site. That's been about where the yearly releases have been.

It's July. The cars sell well. Most dealerships seem to have '07's.

No duh.

well i guess you'd have to read part of the thread and think for a second. there are some 06's sitting around... and a few rs2's... but 07's are coming out.. and so are the specs. and the specs are all 07 too.

We have 3 06 tC's on the lot. I think we have one more coming on the truck and then there will be 2 specs and the rest 07s.

Are there significant differences between 06 and 07? i.e. why should we care?

Scion wasn't consistant with some of the parts for the new tC, so now most of the current aftermarket parts (engine wise) do not work. ECU, MAF, and Header are all different on the 07.

That sucks... I got an 06 about two months ago or so. Should we expect our aftermarket parts manufacturers to start catering to the 07's, or do you think they'll just develo parts for 07 and continue to service both?

i bet the headers would fit cuz it's the same engine.. and for the 07's... maf sensors... instead of making new parts.. they may just make little brackets/mounts and sell them at a extra charge... no reason to spend that much r/d just for a different maf sensor in my opinion.
