So, did a search on the um nitza intake..found this thread BUT doesnt say what I like to know....

So my question is Does air actually get into that tiny opening????....
to create MORE HP???

ive heard negative reviews about it.. saying that it will actually decrease low end power NOTICEABLY.. so i would suggest staying away from it

It has no noticeable increase or decrease in power, pretty much standard for an intake on this car. Those that profess otherwise are either extremely sensitive to movement or hallucinating.

It produces an amusing whistle at about 3krpms. In addition to the small opening at the top, the entire bottom is an open semi-circle, exposing the filter inside. Think of it like a globe, cut in half at an angle.

I liked it when I had it on my car. Removed when I had the supercharger installed and I'll be reinstalling it this weekend if I get around to it.

make one with a card board box.. and put c/f stickers all over it.... it'll work great like the cardboard turbo.

That intake was dyno proven to Decrease HP/TQ!! The stock setup is better.

I have the Umnitza intake. It looks nice and sounds great. Dyno tests with the stock piping has a slight reduction in low-end power, but there are small high-end gains.

The main problem with it is that it still uses the stock intake piping, which is smaller than most aftermarket intakes, and it soaks heat as well. If you switch the stock piping to the Spectre PowerAdder piping, I bet you the HP gains will be better. It's larger piping, with a LOT less heatsoak.
