RoswellScion 07-08-2006, 11:54 PM There are a bunch of those videos! Pretty funny! hahhaa BlkSandPrlTurbotC 07-08-2006, 11:55 PM I was waitin for the "SCIONLIFERS" to come in here and comment on that haha RoswellScion 07-09-2006, 12:02 AM hahahhaha MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 12:09 AM My damn connection is bad. I get booted out of games like you would not believe! I called Microsoft and they told me to call Comcast and they told me to call Microsoft, I'm so mad. It's either my modem's network card or something wrong with the Xbox. I don't know what to do. RoswellScion 07-09-2006, 11:22 AM Do you have wireless, cable or other lan, router? Whats your setup and maybe we can help you out a little bit. MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 01:28 PM It's cable. I did direct connect and through the router and had the problem both times. I tried everything except buying a new modem and Xbox. chrischoi 07-09-2006, 02:38 PM lol. get on ventrilo... cs kids.. we so have you xbox kids beat. jwaggz82 07-09-2006, 02:48 PM My damn connection is bad. I get booted out of games like you would not believe! I called Microsoft and they told me to call Comcast and they told me to call Microsoft, I'm so mad. It's either my modem's network card or something wrong with the Xbox. I don't know what to do. unplug your modem and keep it unplugged for 60seconds. Then see if this fixes your problem. Then - if that doesn't work unplug your router. See how that goes. jwaggz82 07-09-2006, 02:58 PM i think this might be the funniest clip ive heard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5I0U4P9Imis&search=Rollin%20with%20Saget MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 03:05 PM Thanks, but I've unplugged everything in every possible combination. I've tried: -Direct Connect. -New Ethernet Cables. -Deleting my account and doing account recovery. The woman on Microsoft told me that it was something to do with packets of information. I'm only receiving 16/25, when I should receive 24 or 25 of them. But when I called Comcast, they said that I was receiving 100% of them. So the problem is between the Modem and my Xbox. It's not the router and it's not the ethernet cables. (It's one of the two most expensive components) :( jwaggz82 07-09-2006, 03:08 PM do you have AIM? ill try to help you out. MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 03:11 PM No, it's cool. My Live subscription is about to run out anyway. And when school starts, I won't have time to play anyway; it's just annoying that I couldn't get it fixed. Thanks for the offer though. That Saget video was awesome  jwaggz82 07-09-2006, 03:12 PM At college (before i graduated) we had 2 tvs and two xboxs in our room ..... pretty crazy halo playing. All you need is a crossover cable and ya dont have to worry about using a router. MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 03:15 PM Cool, I was going to get 360 but now I don't think I want to. I totally bypassed my router and connected directly to the modem; to no avail. I doubt it's my Xbox because I never dropped it or anything like that. It just sits in the ent. center and collects dust. Only time that I touch it is to turn it on and off. jwaggz82 07-09-2006, 03:20 PM its prob not the xbox - prob your modem - like i said before - try unplugging the power wire from your modem (and make sure your cable wire is not loose) ....keep it unplugged ....and try it again. MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 03:22 PM OK thanks, I hope it works this time. eburgsspeedyxb 07-09-2006, 03:23 PM nah, you need to change your NAT setting on your router. my 360 didn't want to play with others until I played with that setting, and now it plays just fine. MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 03:26 PM Well, I unplugged and ran diagnostics and it was 14/25 packets. That's the lowest it ever was. MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 03:28 PM nah, you need to change your NAT setting on your router. my 360 didn't want to play with others until I played with that setting, and now it plays just fine. It's not the router: 1. This problem just started; I never had the problem before. and 2. I totally bypassed the router and still had the problem. I think it's a bad network card in the modem. jwaggz82 07-09-2006, 03:40 PM go to your run box and type: command get to the dos prompt and type: ping -t www.google.com see if it drops any packets MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 04:07 PM OK hang on. MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 04:09 PM Here's what I got: http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h148/MJVsTC/dos-1.jpg MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 04:13 PM It's Greek to me... I got a couple of lines that said "Request Timed Out" Out of 563, only 8 (1%) were lost. jwaggz82 07-09-2006, 04:58 PM try again now doing the check on the xbox - the ping reply was fine. if you had connection problems you would see A LOT more time outs (about every 5 or so 1 would time out). jwaggz82 07-09-2006, 05:00 PM ms is milliseconds - meaning it took 32millaseconds to reply. 1 second = 1 000 milliseconds ....thats about as good as it gets. So you know now that your computer is getting a good connection and its not the cable. try swapping ethernet wires now or use the one from your computer. MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 06:18 PM Alright I'll try that. Thanks again for the help. MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 09:14 PM Well swapping the cables around again gave me 9/25 packets. I think I'll resort to Plan B and throw Xbox out of my 3rd story window. BlkSandPrlTurbotC 07-09-2006, 09:15 PM hell yeah! lol MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 09:17 PM And I'll take pics... No more headshots for me! BlkSandPrlTurbotC 07-09-2006, 09:21 PM LOL AWESOME UGOT12APED should be your new name haha MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 09:26 PM It's funny but no one would understand it. MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 09:29 PM Some idiot at Microsoft told me to delete my account and do account recovery; it didn't work naturally. So now (with my Live connection running at 50% or less) it would take me numerous hours to download all of the maps again. Thanks to that retard I can't even get online now! BlkSandPrlTurbotC 07-09-2006, 09:30 PM lol only true computer lingo people LOL! MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 09:32 PM Yeah I can just see it "UGOT..1..2...A...PED?" "UGOT...1...TAPED?" BlkSandPrlTurbotC 07-09-2006, 09:46 PM Tell them whats going on and see if you can get a free 2 month or something I had terrible lag last night as well, infact everyone did even on the other team. Bungie ended up having major Network issues MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 09:52 PM Yeah, they're going have even more of an issue after I burn their building down :) J/P MJVsTC 07-09-2006, 09:59 PM I wonder if my Xbox has some kind of warrenty. S1lent 12-12-2006, 06:50 AM /b/ tards should raid Wal-Mart. =D |
