The iMoni is less productive than the ScanGauge. Nice display size, but it only displays one function at a time, and it only has five functions.
The ScanGauge displays four at a time and has many more abilities, including reading and resetting OBD II codes (trouble codes when you get a CEL).
The iMoni is also very overpriced and a touch more difficult to use.

If one doesn't HAVE an OBDII unit already, a Scanguage fills that need quite decenty, Jethro... and it can also give you a running dialog on what's going on during normal driving.
How much less did your OBDII unit cost?

I realize that Tomas. Didn't mean anything by it.
I got mine on sale at Auto Zone for like 70ish. How much do the ones you mount inside cost? I guess it would look ok and be something people would ask questions about at shows. It's not something I'd want mounted up inside my toaster all the time.

The manual doesn't clearly explain how it determines from the ECU how much fuel is used, but at least we know it gets the same input from the ECU that the speedo/odo get for the other half of the equation. So........I dunno. :D
The Scanguage reads Gallons Per Hour to help with the calculation and I think it uses the trip information when you fillup to get an average. The first time I filled up after installing mine I didn't reset the fillup correctly and the Mileage dropped considerably.
