Default Ingalls combo on Daily Driver?

Hey everyone, wasnt sure whether to post in power or suspension forum....

I've been heavily considering the combo of Ingalls engine damper and ingalls rear strut brace.

I've read about every post i can find, bringing me to the conclusion that the 'stiffy' dampener works great, but brings some cabin vibration and noise. Some people have gotten that minimized - but not gone completely.

Long story short - is it worth it or recommended by Ingalls owners to put these mods on a daily driver? Or is the noise and vibration really not worth it?

I really like the look of the ingalls products, and would love to install - but am concerned about noise / vibration on daily driver. Any opinions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

get them. I only really noticed the viabrations for a couple of days and then they became the "norm" and i didn't think anything about it. benefits outweigh the viabrations.

Others definitely welcome.. What do current ingalls owners think of the combo on daily driver???

Thanks again!

As a note, my stiffy is set @ 10mm, which is the stiffest it can go. there was a good bit less viabration at the "stock" 14mm setting that it comes at from the factory.

I'd have to agree. The benefits really outweigh the extra vibration so I say go for it

I have the ETD on my DD on about 11/12mm stiffness (no dynamat) I dont have too much in the way of vibrations. Do u guys think I installed it wrong or should just be happy with the results?

I have my damper set on the soft setting for now. I didn't have dynomat, and it was shaking inside a little too much for my taste. It is great though.

I have the stiffy on my car set at 10mm, the noise sounds like listening to the engine through a megaphone, the sound quality atleast. You hear every noise the engine makes, you can even hear the valves. But, the benefit is good. You can do burn outs like no other without any wheel hop, engine movement is limited, and it looks really cool. I also want to get the rear sway, but that's gonna be in a little while.

So I would say if you really like to drive your car and enjoy it and aren't afraid to push the car then get it, if you drive like an old man, it's not worth it.

The good thing about the damper is that it is adjustable in relation to stiffness..no matter what you do to stiffen up the eng. you are going to transfer vibrations..

HOWEVER if you run 12mm on the damper with dynamat installed under the bracket and against the firewall (like I have on 4 cars around here) you shouldn't get any vibrations..more dynamat that you use the less you are going to have any sort of vibration issues..I have actually put a damper on the 10mm(stiffest setting) and dynamatted the crap out of the firewall and strut area and it took up 90% of the vibration..
If you do go any stiffer though you will get more performance out of the piece BUT you will transfer more vibration..

ssoooo.. I would recommend running it at a 12mm for daily driving WITH dynamat extreme insstalled under the bracket and against the firewall..you will get SLIGHT vibrations but nothing to unbearable..if you dont like it loosen it up..

did you also see these reviews?
