OK, I wasn't sure, but thought what the heck. I am new to the fourm, and am really getting tempted to get a new XB since I called the insurance company this afternoon.

Well, parts of it stylistically. The T2B wont roll from concept to street the way it sits there. I just meant be prepared for the new xB to be somewhat similar to the T2B

yeah it shouldn't have the sliding doors for damned sure. but yeah i've learned this thing is gonna be close to what we get :( poo on scion. a big ugly car with horrible gas mileage.

I had heard the gas mileage was gonna stay around what it is now.

If it does have sliding doors I suppose toyota can stop making the Sienna and we can all get neutered and buy one. I know people who have already done that and bought one of those Mazda 5's. I know the new bb is drastic but isn't that part of owning a Xb? Give me the bB anyday over the t2b.

I am wishing that Toyota would release one of those concept cars, soon. I actually prefer the t2b's futuristic, ultra streamlined look over the bb or xb.
I really wonder what the outcome would be if they introduced the concept cars with very little dilution. Do they not introduce these because they deem it too risky? Too aestheically risky? Why does change have to be so incrementally slow? I suspect the U.S. market would go bonkers for such sleek, space age looking ride. The xb has been a great success and it certainly is very original and urban in its appearance
I like the bb, xb, etc. But those concept cars are incredibly seductive - very futuristc. Granted I don't want something that gets horrible gas mileage, reliability or performance - I just think these concept cars are the aesthetics of future.

I definitely agree with you. And you may get what you want. The next gen. xB will be about 85% t2b styling and will be released this April.

In my eagerness to see the new xb, I am checking in everyday in hopes someone would leak out some pics, but I must say to you all after reading your inputs, please give scion a chance, maybve the changes won't be as bad as you think. Most peeps are saying this thing will have bad gas mileage, for some of us in our current model, do not achieve the registered gas mileage. We don't know if it is going to be bad, well at least I don't. Scion may shock us and put in a 18 gallon tank(would be nice 4oo something miles out of that tank) how about we all just wait and see what the finish product will be.
Someone please do something bad and post the pics, and just say like wannabe jamaican artist Shaggy - - - "wasn't me."

xCube,
I may have misunderstood what you wrote, but how does putting an 18 gallon gas tank on the xB make it get better gas mileage?
I agree with you though that it would be nice to get some pictures released. You would think there would be leaks by now.

i do the same as u do xCube... i freakin check this forum everyday for hopes of getting pistures or news on the new xb replacement. a month ago i was planning to buy an xb... but since i knew a replacement for the xb is coming this april, i've been having second thoughts on buying an xb. i really like the xb... it dont matter to me whether it got a small powerhouse... the 1.5 is just enough for bringing from point a to point b. and as like all of you, i've read almost all the posts on the 2008 rumors.. and all of it are driving me crazy... lol. but anyways... pls post a picture, or pictures, of the xb replacement as soon as any of you guys get hold of one. thanks!

I've done the opposite as you guys. I got tired of waiting and checking everyday and just decided to get an xB. As for getting pictures, don't hold your breath. It may be awhile. I've heard September but I've heard from several people not til HIN Miami in December. One thread has a little tumbnail pic of some car that look like a mix of the bB and t2b. Could be a photoshop, though.

Well witha bigger tank your range is longer, plus it being a four banger you will get good gas mileage. The Camry which is a bigger car and weighs more than the box carries a 2.4 and does very good on mileage, and plus on trips you make fewer trips to a gas station than you do in a box. 4 hundred miles is better than 250.
