Default Suspension overkill?

I am trying to figure out what suspension items I should get for my tC. Now keep in mind, I want to keep my car looking as stock as possible and as close to the stock ride height as possible.

          and any other suggestions.....

I would recomend the Hotchkis front and rear sways over the TRDs, but I would also recomend some stiffer springs.
The TRDs are nice and don't drop it to much lower then stock.

well im trying to avoid the "spring route" but mainly my question was aimed at all those items, are they overkill for my daily driver (even though I drive quite aggressively)?

There's no such thing as overkill!
If you mean "do you think it's going to my my ride to stiff/bouncy/uncomfortable" I would say no unless you get springs and/or shocks.

the front strut bar is basically pointless. don't get that or the trd rear sway-instead, use the money from those 2 items and get either the hotchkis or suspension techniques front and rear sway bars. that would help alot more than going with the trd/dc route.

i beg to differ. i have the dc front stut bar on my car. i first lowered my car then later on i put the front strut bar on and it did help.

I really think your better off getting the Hotchkis front and rear sway bars rather then getting a strut tower brace.
The front sways are more beneficial.

Yeah I think you should go with Hotchkis front and rear sways over just the trd sway. Just curious but why do you want to stay at stock height?

I think he mentioned road conditions.
If that's the case, you should consider the TRD springs with stock shocks. I had those for 10,000 and it was a very mild drop, and very close to stock stiffness. Since they are a progressive rate spring, they are pretty soft during normal driving and stiffen up in the corners.

          Hey,

Why would you wanna keep the tC at stock ride height...that things is begging to be lowered..

if i were you, i'd lower it ( get some new struts if you can afford it) and put on ATLEAST a rear sway bar, the front isn't neeeded unless you go auto-x.

if u don't want dramatic drop, go with like the TRD springs, but if u want a nice drop, go with like hotchkis.

OH YAH!!! you also said you're an aggressive driver, so it would be smart to invest your money into suspension components. you can just get those strut bars which don't help in handling, all they do is reduce chassis flex. you can get front and rear sway bars, but on the stock springs ...eh...it'll help a little but tie them in with some new springs and u'll b alot happier... just my opinion.

i thought a person would get front and rear sways, strut bars, etc. to compliment aftermarket springs? i see no reason getting sways, strut bars, etc. when you want to keep the ride at stock height.

if you want you don't want to go too low, TRD SPRINGS are the way to go. hey that rhymes.

coilovers at near stock ride height sounds like overkill to me.

If you want great handling with a comfortable ride quality get the Hotchkis tvs set.
It has slightly stiffer than stock springs to improve handleing but without the horrable ride. I have them on my car and you barely feel the difference. It also comes with stiffer, adjustable front and rear sway bars, this is were your good handling comes from. its a great price for street performance but comfortable driveability.

trdsparks.com has a great price on em too.
