I was just reading around, and listen'n to sound clips of exhaust systems on tC's! Some with CIA and some with just the exhaust. When i first bought my car i got the TRD exhaust, it sounded good, and i had like a 4hp gain, but any ways, i then installed a DC sports header, and an Injen CIA intake! THAT made my exhaust sound WAY different! My questions are,
does anyone have a setup with a header and intake, but with a different exhaust? (i would love to have that HKS Hi-power sound)
Is HKS my best bet, if i wanted to get new exhaust? or should i go with that megan drift spec cat back exhaust?
I want somethin that sounds deeper....ofc not raspy (a given), and would still yield a power gain, although i know not substantial, i dont want to lose power either(which i pro wont). Thanks

 

PrecisionMuffler.com axleback made me plenty happy, when I see consistently people with HKS and Greddy's that sound crazy raspy... I believe it's all in the header/exhaust choice...

I've always stood by what I have, just cause I get so many compliments on how it sounds... and that the dreaded rasp is AWOL....

 

i have bought an hks hi power exhaust because im planning to have a turb0 on.it depends upon your upcoming mods..goodluck on your hunting..but i suggest u get the hks,top quality..i know ul like it..

 

Hay thanks, i have heard a lot about the HKs exhaust.. yeah i plan to do my whole exhaust, and s-pipe...but thats another question..u guys know of ne links, or maybe any suggestions on which Spipe to obtain? But that is the extent of my egine mods for a little min. at least until i get some turbo mulla

 

i like my megan, but anything you get will be fine wheher hks, injen, megan, etc

 

Just listen to as many sound clips and you can search up... if you want to get a different sound than your TRD rasp, I'm not sure if HKS is the way you want to go, unless you add a resonator...or a turbo (both cut down noise/rasp well) that rasp is a killer and it's tough to get rid of.

 

OH ok, thanks! That makes sense! I'll look around, i seen they had some "youtube" videos of some HKS, and others. What do u think on an Spipe.. I mean there is more than 1 huh? any suggestion on which one, and that as well would prob alter my "final" sound?

 

 

I had the megan header and trd and it sounded like poop.
so I went megan all the way (header, spipe, and cat back drift spec). then added a CAI. I got great gains for a great price but I pay for it in noise. its exremely load and ____es alot of people off (neihbors, old people and rich luxury guys). but I love it. would recomend it everyone. sorry no sound clips.
