I never have enough time to do a project from start to finish so it took about 2 weeks to see this to completion. I did of course go on vacation in the middle of all of it.

It seems like about 20 minutes before you finish a project you find out the "right" way to do it. In my case it was the discovery that the rubber trim inside the window frames is not glued in and pretty much just peels right out. Knowing that I would have finished about an hour after I started. Oh well its done. It was a pain in the ___ and my fingers were very sore but it looks

FREAKING AWESOME

Here are the pics before:

At first I just pulled and tugged and pulled off little pieces at a time. As I said in the start of the post, you always figure out the easy way to do someting 30 minutes before you finish so to those who are interested... I would recomend getting a plastic putty knife or two and than on the outside of the frame try to peel up the edge by catching it with the putty knife and try to get about an inch or so peeled back to give you a finger grip. Than on the inside of the window frames pull out the rubbber around the window about 6 inches at at a time and strip it from one side to the other. Be careful though because there is at least one spot where the rubber is glued in and its tough around the window clips on the front. The real problem areas are around the fixed vent windows on the back door. Man I hated that. Also the area around the mirrors is a bear as well. Good luck its a pain but everyone, except a few people without a sense of style and no taste, that has seen it says it makes the ride look so much better.

the mirrors come of in about 3 minutes a peice with a #2 phillips head and a 10mm socket...

same with the rear windows that do not roll down... i removed my rear fixed door windows for tinting, they are tinted completely even 5 or so inches down into the door and the edges are filed with no edge gap whatsoever just like the rest of my windows

It looks great! I'm still learning all the cool things that we can do to our xB's.
