Today I installed (with help from SRAUDIO) the megan oem style axle back exhaust. Its not very loud at all but it is deep sounding. For my taste it sounds great. I do have the weapon r/ mmw intake and now this exhaust. Fitment was second to none and the finish on it was great. I am very pleased with the results. As soon as I install the mmw header i'm sure the sound will be louder but i'm almost certain it will be just right.

yours sounds deeper than mine, it must be the intake feeding it more air

still sounds pretty quiet, are you installing an aftermarket s-pipe?

 

later on i will get the mmw header which the s pipe is included... quiet is good for me anyways

Where do you guys buy the megan axle back from? Apparently trdsparks and mcgeorge only sell injen and trd.

 

i heard that the deep sound comes from the CAT. he only has the axle back so he still has the CAT but no resolators so maybe thats why.

 

Damn it now I want to install mine even more, it's just sitting there waiting for me to find some help to do it.

 

do it by yourself, took me 2 hours alone. you just need a jack, 4 jackstands, a socket wrench and a few sockets, and thats if youre doing a midpipe back...axleback will take 15-20 minutes tops

 

Actually I was hoping that the person that would help me had a jack all I have is the one the car comes with and that one I'm guessing does not get my car high enough to get too far under there, I would do it myself though.

 

ehhh just go buy a jack kit, theyre like 25 bucks at autozone and you will get a lot of use out of it.

 

That's it! I thought they were more, if that's the case then I guess I can break down and get one, and like you said I would get alot of use out of it, since I always went under my car when I had the civic.

well he went axle back and has an intake. i will be going cat-back and have the injen intake. i will be installing this exhaust hopefully tomorrow since i should get it today. ill try to have a sound clip of it by monday to see the difference of a cat for a resonator.

 

i cant wait to hear it with a header
