sorry if this is a repeat question - or if i didn't do a correct search - but could someone tell me if this wheel/tire combo will work... and whether or not it will need spacers/rolling/etc... thanks a lot

18x7.5 wheel - 4x100 bolt pattern - +42 offset - 215/35/18 tire

it will bolt right on. i have this on my wifes xb.

be carefull Randode, this exact size will have problems with some of the xB's due to welding slag on the rear subframe. On some xB's the slag protrude more than others and will cause problems with the inside of the rim. There is an easy fix which would be to grind the slag down so it does not interfere, but some subframes have this minor issue.

We have installed 10-12 sets in this size and have had a problem with this offset 3-4 times.

yes, use a handheld grinder and grind it down...... not all the way but 1/2 way down..

BE SURE TO SPRAY A LITTLE BLACK SPRAY PAINT(ENGINE ENAMEL FLAT BLACK
WILL BE PERFECT)
ONTO THE EXPOSED METAL, YOU DON"T WANT IT TO RUST
