Well, i'm a little confused about HID projectors
Ok well, my friend has a 2005 G35 coupe and i noticed that there is no lense projector in his housing. However, he still had HID's. It came factory like this and his visibility is fine, doesn't blind, all that stuff. My question is, if he simply has bulbs and no projector, then what makes the projector any better? What makes having a projector in the housing better than just putting a plug and play kit in because that's pretty much what his headlights seem to be.
yeah the 05 g35 have no projectors but the 06s do...and yeah HIDS can be a plug and play..thats how alot of the tCs do them...however projects(hence the name) project the light better onto the road...
someonone correct me if im wrng

well i've seen my friend's lights on the road look pretty good as is, so i think plug and play may be what i want. But someone tell me why they "blind other drivers" with glare on the tC, but they look fine on the g35?
the light housing for the G35 was designed specifically for HID. The light housing for the tC was designed specifically for regular halogen bulbs. HID bulbs produce light at a different part of the bulb than halogens do, so the reflectors/refractors for the G35 compensate for that.
Imagine taking a stainless steel mixing bowl and use a flashlight to shine in there. Now move the flashlight around at different angles. Notice the light reflects at a different spot when you move it.

i have d2r HID's in my 2001 acura TL, but the housing was mae for HID's, all the TL's came with it, most cars that don't come equipped with HID's tend to have the light shine everywhere, i know b/c all of my cousins have the HID kits on thier cars and it shines everywhere, but they like it like that, and down in New Orleans i guess they don't' ticket much for it
