Default Are the Stock Wheels really good

HI Folks,

I read somewhere in the forums that the stock bridgestones are not that good. Some one suggested that some dealers replace those by Pirelli Pzero or Yokohama tyres for free. What about the 2007 model? Are there any changes in the tyres?

Thanks,
Akshay.

I dunno about 07's (don't think there's any changes) but the 05's and 06's came stock with the potenza's and the yokahama's on the 17 inch rims, but on the 18 inch rims, you would get the pirelli's. Hope this helps.

I got the 18" Yoko's on my RS1 and they are great tires. Extremely sticky but still perform well in snow and rain.

You only get the Pirelli's if you purchase the 'upgraded' tire package when you order your tC. The Poetenzas aren't bad, but there are definitely better tires out there. Cheaper (AND BETTER!) than the Potenzas too! Check out Discounttiredirect.com and tirerack.com .

The stock tires are actually pretty good. The Bridgestone Potenzas, that is. I'm sure there's much better out there--I'm looking for it--but there's also much, much worse.

I have a set of tires on right now--Hankook Ventus HRII's--that are so crappy, my car is fishtailing and I feel like it's going to flip on turns.

They've basically made all my suspension upgrades worthless.

Pirelli P-zero's are great tires. Only, they'll probably last you about six months, if not less.

1 1/2 years on my PZeros and NO problems! Except for that screw in my tire, but I got the tire replaced for FREE! Thanks America's Tire Co.! With proper wheel rotations (which again are FREE!), they should last longer than 6 months. Don't drive like an **** on low-profiled tires and they will last you longer than 6 months. (No offense. Just making an observation.)
