Get an Exhaust, and a header.

I/H/E = decent N.A. gains.

Man I am with ya' on this one iampaui. Except I am the opposite, I have the exhaust and not the intake. I have read a lot about people hydro locking so I stayed away for awhile. I think I am ready to start doing more. I too am curious on suggestions.
Do I get a short ram or cold air? I have a cold air intake on the xB. I would like to do a header but I do not want the rasp I hear alot of. I want to do a lightwieght pulley as well. I would like to hear suggestions.
Keep in mind if you check my profile. The tC is her's and I have the xB. That being said I have good expierence with these as I did my xB. I am doing her's for her. Honestly crazy as it seems's she watched me and got so excited. She decided she want to mod her's too. It took me 1 year start to finish. I would like to do the same with hers. We will do turbo's eventually I think. We'll see we have fun with them reguardless.

my VVT-i badge added about 5whp. when i add my turbo kit and my "secret" badge, that will give me at least 300whp.

what can you do for more power....search the forum...there's plenty of power in the search button....j/k, but yeah get a cat-back exhaust and header, but if your an auto....getting a header will take away some low end punch...in that case a cat-back system would be fine.

A header, s-pipe, and then a catback will finish off the exhaust side of the engine. A lightweight crank pulley, possibly even the underdrive pulley setup offered by NST will free up some additional horsepower. An Ingall's ETD won't actually add any more power than you already have, but it will help you get that power to the ground (not completely mind you, but it helps). After you get to this point, your done with the "easy" n/a mods. Now you have to look into mods like a ported head, a new clutch and lightweight flywheel combo, and maybe even higher compression pistons or nitrous.

I've got a bunch of questions for you.

1)What's your goal? Emissions legal? All-out drag racing? SCCA Autocross? Complement visual mods?... Following the rules can have its benefits.

2) What's your budget?

3)What are you willing to sacrifice in terms of reliability, comfort, and gas mileage in order to achieve your goal?

4) Are you doing this yourself ? Do you have tools?

-----------

Chances are, if you're asking "how do i get more power," then you probably need to sit at a computer and learn. Read every forum you can, no matter what make/model, and howstuffworks.com ... You can't tune an engine if you don't know the difference between a camshaft, crankshaft, half-shaft, balance shaft, etc...

Also, avoid ebay. Scams. Too cheap to be true, usually is... and there is no ECU or "chip" yet, so avoid the little resistors that FUBAR your A/F ratios.

you should run a 100 shot of nitrous. that will give you more power (at least one time).
