i was going to buy a TC today I have a 2004 stock XA auto,tint, mats,lojack and a 700.00 alarm and the trade in price wa 10K my car has 2K miles on it anyone else get clos to this?

What happened to you getting like 13k? That sucks about the 10k. You're better off trying to sell it yourself. I'm sure there'll be buyers...

You will have a higher trade in value at CarMax than your local dealer. Compare. I know. I had an '01 4-cyl Camry with 48K miles, big dented bumper. They gaved me $10K. Blue Book is $10.5K. Other dealers, $7-8K.

Yeah Carmax doesn't really have any scions yet and if they know what's up I'm sure they would love to get their hands on one!

Just dont tell the CarMax appraisers that you will buy another car. Just tell them that you only want the car appraise. A CarMax sales person told me that the appraisers may lower the trade in value by a bit if you tell them you will buy another car. Also make sure they dont see you bringing in two sets of keys/fobs.
