ok. if you can find out what 10 wheeler did that to you, you can usually get then to pay for it. as long as you tell them it fell directly off of the truck and hit your car. a lot of peeps say it falls off the truck hit the ground and then hit the glass. never say that cause it belongs to the road as soon as it touches it. happpens to the company i work for quite often.

What about brake pads falling off peoples car skipping on your hood and smashing your windshield. What happens then

you get a new windshield and the guy in front of them gets a new rear bumper and a whiplash check.

hmm... never heard of someones brake pads falling off a car!
but in order to put up a good fight against a company you must always say that if fell directly off the company truck.
Its almost like a kids game of who touched it last has to take care of it!

or if you see a semi with a tore up mud flap then you can just pin it on them that they kicked it up and broke your windshield... kinda messed up to do to a innocent driver but it will get you new glass....

or you could just pay a few bucks a month for zero deductible full glass coverage and not have to worry about it.

I thought I payed for it, but I called them and I found out I don't have it on my policy. So I added it but they won't replace the crack because I got the crack before I got the policy added. I could always go put another one in the window and tell them the second one happened after I added it but that would be a little obvious.
insurance companies have done nothing but screw me over so that's why I was just going to buy the window and not mess with them.

Ask them to check their phone recordings. Progressive tried to do that to RBasil and he made them check the audio tape of the conversation and he was right. They replaced it for him and put it on his coverage.
