went to the gas station to buy cigs and the lady asks for ID (all normal till here) she stares at it then me going back and forth for 2 minutes until i say "yes...?" and she replies "this is not u is it?"

oh ppl look at me weird when i go out with my twin and they get one ID after the other with the same birthday :silly: we don't look alike at all

Hey, at least thats better than when the guy at walmart told me i wasnt 18,(I was paying with a credit card) while looking at my ID. Then he turns and ask his coworker "hey, is 1987, 18 right now?" The whole time, i just stood there looking at him, i didnt want to say anything and perferred to let him figure it out on his own. :rofl:

i get carded when buying rootbeer sometimes

My ID says "under 21 until 2004" and some places wont let me buy alcohol. Yet I go to some bars and never get asked for ID.

When I was in college, a friend of mine had a roomate who he and i both hated- the guy was a total jerk. Well I was underage but my friend wasn't and wanted us to go out and drink- turns out he had stolen his roomie's ID when the guy was on the way to the airport just to screw with him. Heartless, I know. But I was about to benefit from that act of evil... I look enough like him (around 6 foot, brown hair, goatee) that nobody ever questioned it.

One night i was in a bar and there was a cigarette promotion- they were walking around handing out smokes and lighters etc. Well you had to fill out this questionaire and show your ID and everything- so of course I showed them my fake. I had to sign something too, so I signed his intiials and last name, and then she looked at the id and to me and said "You need to sign it like it looks on the license" and gave the ID to me.

So i looked at the ID and copied it as well as possible. A month or so later, the guys parents found out he smoked (home addy on the ID). Lol. He actually was a smoker though.

lol- awesome. well anyway, hope you like living in MD (i sure did when I lived there). I love the washington dc area and plan to move back there someday. Mostly when i can get a job on the east coast that can afford my payments on the tC!

I always found it funny how as a child I got carded less for cigarettes and beer while underage than I get carded now at the movies. :roll: I always had fun at college when showing my ID with the photo from freshman year (I went to a catholic h.s. so no long hair/facial hair was allowed). I currently have hair passed my shoulders and a 6" goatee. They just look at it like, "yeah right..." Students at work think i'm a student worker and ask me where I went to H.S. If only they knew I haven't been in highschool for 7 years...

ive got a ID from a friend that looks exactly like me. we say were cousins cause we always get the "are you related" question. so ive used it at all the big clubs here in miami and south beach and works like cake. till we go to this one place, which isnt even a popular club, and the guy tells me no thats not you. when i ask him what makes him think that he responds by telling me the ID says im 5'8 tall and im not that tall. when mind you in reality im 5'7 maybe pushing the 5'8 mark. and a similar story happened to me like the original poster. the lady went back and forth with my ID and my face.

I never get carded... I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing?

My brother and I went to a baseball game at Candlestick Park to see the Giants a long time back. It was near the beginning of the season so I am sure the consession folks were new. My brother was carded when he went to buy us a couple of beers. I was 35 at the time. What you have to realize is that my brother is almost exactly 20 years OLDER than I am. He no more looked underage than the man in the moon. We got a good laugh out of that one..............

A few yrs ago...I went to the movies and got carded for a rated-R movie...she asked if I was 17!!..I was freak'in 27yrs old!!...HaHa...Oh well!...I went to a bar and showed the bouncer my ID and he scratched at my picture...and said "So your 28 huh?"...like he didnt believe I was!...Thats day & the life of being asian!...haha

My situation is the complete opposite of these situations I normally never get carded and what sucks is when I go out with say my sister who is like 5 years older than me, they card her and not me. One time they did that back when I was 18 and I pushed the drink across the table and said out loud "here you go sis you can have my margarita seeing as I am only 18, lets just say we got free food and everyone the manager, the waiter and the people all heard it and was shocked at the whole scene. Also everyone at my work thinks I am older than I actually am and start freaking when they see my ID I guess it is becuz I act alot more mature than most people my age.

so i didn't get to see my movie cos other viewers HAD to have alcohol served to them while watching it :tap:

Hmmm, I don't buy cigs, I don't buy alcohol, and I don't get pulled over by the cops....... Which leaves me to, no - I don't get carded at the movies. lol
