Finally after months of waiting I just finished the suspension upgrade on my box

List of parts:

HKS hipermax WG coilovers

Hotchkis swaybars re-powder coated candy purple

Cusco frame brace re-powder coated candy purple

One Ton Garage 10mm axle spacers

TRD stainless steel braided brake lines – not completed another 5 week back order

EBC “Green Stuff” brake pads – not completed another 2 week back order

I still need to roll the rear fenders, passenger side is rubbing in front when going into turns. I have the settings set to soft for a smoother ride and playing with the coilovers to get the right setting to avoid hitting the frame brace going over speed bumps. With the 19" Axis Spider rims It still appears not to be low enough but I do plan on adding a new TRF lip kit when it comes out...

Nice job Dave....
This is a car you gotta see in person. Dave's car is the cleanest xB you'll find. Meticulously detailed and everything goes well.

You also gotta see the car computer. He is the first Scion with a pc to my knowledge..I know several have done it thereafter.

Thanks... it would of cost me I think around $1600 - $1800 for just the parts if Ihad to buy everything, but alot was in trade for work I did on computers. I did all the labor, so that had to save me major $$ the only negative expense was re-powder coating the swaybars, frame brace, spring perches, tie down brackets and other misc brackets... that was another $250 but over all it was worth it. The waiting to get all the parts together was the worst part!

That's a PHAT looking ride. Any rubbing?

It rubs on the passenger side rear only when making turns. I hope to be borrowing a lip roller to use to flatten all the lips and give me more room for adjustment. The biggest concern I have now is the frame brace, I might have to go up 3/8 of inch to keep from getting hung up on speed bumps

Quality fit and finish (HKS Purple)

Con's:

Front spring perches where not finished IMO so I powder - coated them to match the adjustment rings.

Hard to get to the front strut adjusting screw.

No pillow mounts included with kit.

Yeah they are new factory rotors that Island Motor Sports www.islandmotorsports.com slotted, cross drilled and plated.

To be honest I haven’t driven it hard yet I still need to roll the fender lips and not sure on how stiff I want the struts and shocks yet… but from what I have driven, it is like it is teasing me… I never really had stock suspension so I can only compare it to the TRD/Waydo sportivo struts/shocks and springs that where installed from the dealer. But from what I can tell so far is that the adjustability is awesome the soft setting is much like the TRD/Waydo setup smooth and just right for daily driving. I just wish the adjustment screw was as easy to get to in the front as easy as it is in the rear. After getting the wheel lips rolled and the front inner fender panels better secured, I will find me a big parking lot and have fun with it :D  :D

I think they have been replaced with the Hipermax C series but I will check on it... I ordered mine last December and can't remember if there was a actual part # on the box

This is one with the CF engine cover tinted to match the BCP. I am working on a new engine cover and other as Nilo would say "Top Secret" mods for the engine bay

xB ey would know more about the Hipermax C series

http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14346

I just bought new pillow mounts, boot liners and dust seals from Toyota. I just think that for the amount of money HKS could of provided the pillow mounts… maybe they design it that way on purpose? Not sure?

how much if any do u rub ur rear or front wheels?

Front wheels appear to be fine but I worry at a full turn if I was to hit something like a curb it would probably do some damage to the fender as well as the tire and rim. I am checking into maybe adding some hard stops to avoid this, mini trucks use to do this when they were lowered.

On the rear the driver side appears to be fine, but the passenger is like 1/8 of inch more metal on the lip and the edge of the tread hits it when making turns. I could easily grind it off but will wait to roll the wheel wells for a more finished look.

Cool! One of the cleanest rides I've seen. Do you got ground wires hooked up too? If so, any noticeable difference in performance?

My HKS WG coilovers are purple so I wanted to carry the theme to all the suspension parts.... I wanted to do a gold or platinum colors but the "Candy Purple" was the best looking powder coat to me at the time. I recently got the air runner system and trying to get them painted to match the rest of the suspension but two attempts have not resulted the look I am going for. So maybe one more try at the purple, if that comes out bad maybe I will re-do everything in gold or platinum

I was going to but I have found out that you can no longer get the Hipermax WG series and I only have 13k miles on these sort of a JDM collectors item  and who know's maybe I will get another box and rock some 15" wheels and tires maybe even a "Lover Soul" kit

Good News got my Air Runner pieces back and they match the rest of my suspension pieces major Thanks to Cabe Toyota for the hook up!!! Check it out...
