Default Transmission upgrades for a tubo.

Any advice on what type of tranny upgrades would be good for the tC before I turbo it. I plan on getting a Turbonetics kit but Im not sure how this will all work out. It will be my first turbo on a car I own. Also how much have some of you paid to get your turbos installed? Any other advice would be great.

Stage 3 clutch and you should be good to go. I would install the kit yourself. Not to hard to do plus you'll learn alot about your car so if something goes wrong you will most likely be able to fix it yourself.

Stage 2+ Shoudl be good for most clutches...make sure a stage 3 is daily driveable...all that good stuff...6 springs, I dont know A LOT bout clutches, but basics n so forth so on....
Stage 2 or 2+ would be perfect, usually stage 3s for like 300whp+ n crap...only be pushing what...250whp or so...

Once the clutch breaks in it will feel very close to stock. Mine isnt any harder to drive everyday then the stock clutch.

Thanks, I was sort of thinking the same thing about the clutch and I was going to do it anyway. I will most likey get an ACT stage 3 clutch. And for the turbo kit, it seems like I could do it myself but Im not sure if something special will show up? Thanks

agreed, its not cheap, but if your going to be already doing the clutch, its worth the manhours to get it done.

Contact Dezod. I believe they can get a LSD. The clutch can be found anywhere. I went with Clutch Masters and got all my stuff from turbo-kits.com. I got everything very fast.
