search! search! search! I'm new here and I've seen too many threads on the same subject...and posted in the wrong section (drivetrain and power section is your best bet)

i think most ppl on this forum will say injen, i love mine, but honestly any of them will be fine. there's also fujita, and just in case you didn't know, the TRD CAI is the same as the AEM one, TRD just rebadged it as their own so if you're planning on getting the TRD, might as well save some money and get the AEM one. personally, i'd suggest the injen one.

There is a post on here comparing most of the main CAI's and showing their effects on HP. Search!

I went with K&N, I've had it on the car for over a year with no problems at all.

None will give you a "feelable" gain in HP. Looks and sound, that is what you are getting.

The K&N, if they have not changed it. .has a pi$$ poor mounting design that breaks one of the brackets in many cases. I can think of about 5 or 6 off the top of my head.

The Injen seems to be very well put together. I think that is what most people are getting.

A cut air box, as mentioned above.. is a waste of time. It will serve only to move your input air (which is taken from the fender well from the factory anyway) so that it is coming from the hot engine compartment. At least as I am understanding what he posted.. cutting holes in the airbox under the hood.

but all in all, you wont gain a significant amount with an intake. If you are buying one, dont expect to feel it. Youre butt dyno may be fooled by the sound.. but that is about it. So buy for quality of build and mounting. I have the K&N, which was given to me. I took it off after a month because it broke the mounting point. I will probably create a new and better bracket and install it again, because it did sound ok and dressed up the engine bay.
