this came to me at work, i have realized that the stock muffler is preaty throaty and a little loudder than most stock mufflers, i have the ingen short ram and it sounds awsome, but i want a little more out the rear, BUT cops are dicks around here and will make u remove a aftermarket exaust! happened to me and like 5 of my friends! so i was thinking why not remove that harmonic silencer thingy inbetween the muffler and the cat, cause then it wont be as quiet and still get good gas milage AND could cost from $20 to profesonaly done at $50 with flanges and stuff. And well im going to do it! so after i move (in a month or so) i will do it and check back in here with results! if any one has a reason i shouldnt besides voiding warrenty shout out. thanks for reading and i want some input please, oh i might also put a 5" tip on the stocker too.

if you don't want to get pulled over by cops and want a performance exhaust, get the TRD
other than that, just keep it stock don't start hacking stuff because thats just plain ghetto

you will lose torque because the loss of backpress and dont touch the cat ok. but it will free up top- end power and will be alittle louder. trust me ok i work at a dealer and plyed around with my scion to get the best out of it
