This may be a stupid question, but does lowering 2" have an effect on road noise in the cabin?

on my 18" rims with a two in drop i notice quite a bit more cabin noise...so i guess the answer would be yes....may be because of the low pros that i have....

Certain tires will cause excessive road noise, so that's probably where JdMBboFSD is getting that from....I can't imagine how a new spring is going to add any road noise.

Mine is'nt lowered yet, but my boyfriend's hot lava is. He got it done last week, and for the first few days it was a "bumpy" ride, but the springs adjusted a bit, and now it's fine. No extra noise though.

most road noise you'd hear is from the new tires you have on your new rims when you put on your new springs :)

But, if the bottom of the car is 2" closer to the source of noise (tires on road).. it would have to be louder. It' might not be noticably louder though..

The Box's are loud as heck in the rain.. that's all I know :)

stiffer spring rates could cause more noise,

i just lowered my box (nf210) 1.7" and i have not noticed any increase in road noise.

interesting question....

thats why you buy the system BEFORE the drop/rims so you don't ever have to listent o road noise again. :o

Yeah, bass can hide any noise...including the country music in the elcamino next to you at a light.

I've heard of a skirt causing more wind noise at high speed, but that's about it. I guess if you drive about 100 mph a lot there might be more of a venturi between the car and the ground that could make a bit more noise but if you drive like that you probably don't worry about a wind noise anyway. At normal speeds there wouldn't be a difference unless you put on a louder tire.

Yes, lowering in most cases, will increase road noise!
