drop with injen exhaust???
does any1 have coilovers or springs on there car with the injen ses exhaust??? i jsut got the exhaust and my next plan was to drop it but the pipe looks like it hangs wayy too low....
I just installed my Tein Basics 3 days ago and I have the Injen exhaust. I haven't had any clearance issues so far. I have my coilovers about 3/4 of the the way down. I'll try to get some pics of it tommorrow to show you what it looks like.
I don't think you should have a problem though.

ive had tein basics and injen exhaust for almost a year now. the way the low point in the pipe is positioned with the rear wheels, its very hard to hit the pipe on anything. i kno it looks really low (maybe 3 inches off the ground) but as long as u drive with some precaution, everything is fine. i may have hit the pipe on a speed bump 2 or 3 times total in the year
I have the injen, and I think it droped another half inch after install, and with my TRDs, I had no issues. Now I got Hotchkis and it LOOKS dangersously low, but I've had no problems yet. I think your better off taking bumps staight with back tires, instead of at an angle, cause that might be an issue.
But I just got into an accident where I ran over the shreedded tire tread of a semi on the freeway going 65. It busted my bumper and driver side skirt, but my exhaust was fine. So, I think it's fine.
It just looks alot lower then stock casue you dont' have the big sideways tank blocking it, and it looks lower then the HKS cause it's stainless instead of black, so it's more visible.

No I've had it on for probably close to a year now. It's mounted a bit differently because I had so many problems with it. Whe I first got it it slowly raised up as I was driving and melted the bottom of my ground effects kit, then I just made a longer rubber hanger because I couldn't get somewhere to weld it and I had to drive. The longer hanger then threw the angle off worse and eventually messed up the seal where it meets the mid-pipe so I finally took it to the local muffler shop (aka the biggest bunch of rednecks in the world) and the welded it in like that. So yea thats why it looks wierd.
Wow that was a much longer post than I meant to make.

Ha thanks. Yea Bobby's the man. Yea I've had alot of problems with it but it does sound good, so , whatever it's cool now. I think the main thing is the ground effects made the body too low for the exhaust to fit correctly.

The HKS sounds real good too, maybe even better?
I dont' think it hangs as low but it has an angled tip. Some people don't like that. I wish I had gotten the HKS instead because I like the angle and I dont' think it's as low.

I'm not worried about it rubbing on the ground as much as I'm worried about some rock or bump knocking it off.
