So last night me and my freind installed my mid pipe, the fit was good. It makes the car sound sick very deep and throaty, pulls good to too.

So it does sound good with the INJEN SES! I'm glad to hear that, I am waiting on mine to come in. I have the Injen SES/CAI with Megan Spipe/Header. I hope the Midpipe still sounds good on mine cuz of the header being on there.

 

i'm still a noob at this, but what is a mid pipe and an spipe? sounds dumb but i'm clueless

 

spipe is the pipe that goes right after the header (which can also be called the downpipe), the midpip is the pipe after the spipe and runs to the back of the car. the stock spipe is extremely restrictive, and the stock midpipe has a secondary cat and a resonator.

 

do you have any header with the midpipe? looking to get a midpipe but dont know any other companies that make it other then megan and zpi

 

Well I'll be the first ask...Can you get a sound clip? I've been thinking about pairing the MR mid and s pipe with my HKS exhaust.

 

I installed the midpipe for JJos1. it does sound sick

So throaty and deep. No rasp at all.
we will work on a sound clip

I installed another one on a HKS with alphaworks header. Very raspy.
If you dont like rasp dont get a header. It will kill the sound.

This is my only problem, it's 2.5 from the s pipe to here then it get like 2 1/8" it would have been nice to have 2.5 straight through

Does'nt sound as good in person, I'll try to get a sound clip of it while driving it sounds different under load.

How has the tone or sound changed when just driving around town? Does it drone more at all when at highway speeds?

 

when cruising on the highway you dont notice it much, it is only loud when under load. stop and go you notice it more

 

Sounds good. I wonder how mine would sound.....Injen CAI/SES, Megan Header/Spipe. I will have my Megan Midpipe soon!

but seriously, i give these cars a lot of respect for the power they have. i kinda like the rumble you got going on there. deep, yes, loud, no.
