RCA length?
Hey guys,
My amp wiring kit is out for delivery, so I hope to run that and finish running my RCAs to the rear.
My question is: Right now I only have one set of RCAs, as I am only hooking up an amp to power a single sub. Should 9-10ft be long enough to run from the HU around the passenger side and back to the back of the rear seats? I plan on mounting the amp in that general vicinity. I am hoping I don't need more, but after looking at everything I am not sure if 9-10ft will be long enough to make it back there. I want to have everything ready to go when I start the install and don't want to have to run up to the store while I have stuff apart.
Any of you that have run your own wiring, any numbers you can provide would be much appreciated

That's the same as I did basically.
From HU->under passenger carpet->behind kick panel->down door sill in white clips->behind rear seat panel/window area->under passenger rear seat->up through the angled flap.
In the following pic, the RCAs attach to the amp on the side closest to the body of the passenger side of the car (hidden by the speaker box in the pic). They won't reach but maybe 1 inch past that point. And yes, I know I need to clean up the wiring and do something about the leaning seat plate there :p

I hooked it up to a Pioneer deck and currently have the gain at ~50% or so. It sounds great when listening to rap, which I don't. It hits quite hard, for a single 12. For rock (which is what I listen to), most of it sounds good but there are a few songs here and there where it sounds a little awkward. Probably more the sub/box than anything.
All in all, I am surprised and happy with how the amp is pushing the sub. My lights don't dim at all, even with it cranked way up. Much better than the Kenwood and Massive amps I used in the last 5 years to push two kenwood 12s.
