Default Lowerin Car

im new to this whole lowering cars thing and in fact i have no idea where to begin. All i know is that i want to lower my car. Not too too low but somethin that looks aggresive. I have been told that Eibach suspensions are pretty good and i should start lookin with them. I dont know what do i need to do or what else do i need to buy to have my car runnin just how i want it. Money is no issue im willin to spend whatever is necessary just as long as i get what i want. So guys, (or ladies) please provide me with some input as to the basics and what i should start lookin for or what to shy away from. Im in the Los Angeles area so if anybody around knows where i can get a good deal as far as buyin what i need to buy or the installation of it please let me know. Thanks.

I highly recommend the following threads:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=39485 <-- This has pictures of lowered tC with various springs/shocks/coilovers.

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=105012 <-- This one gives you a down and dirty on lowering your car.

Browse through this section of this forum and you'll find many write-ups and opinions to help you make your choice.... it took me over 3 months to decide FWIW.

What part of L.A. do you live? If you live in SFV, click the link in my signature "FasterScions.com", as the name implies they specialize in Scions and do great work for a reasonable price.

you planning on doing the install yourself? springs themselves do not cost a lot, but it is recommended to get aftermarket shocks as well unless you're going for a very mild drop. either way to do the suspension right it will cost you upwards of $600 for parts alone. springs themselves will be anywhere from $130 to $200 and most ppl will recommend TRD (lttle drop), hotchkis (medium drop) and stechs (pretty big drop). what are your plans for your car? goals?

Trd Springs from Sparks. Lowers the car about 1.25 inches.

I got my hotchkis springs installed in 3 hours for $175 with a 4 wheel alignment, told him I would be paying cash and he cut me a deal.
