This issue has proabably been posted somewhere..but i couldn't find it... so here's my question....

i noticed that our xB have a uniform (one piece) exhaust system..no connectors anywhere along the pipe from the header...even the muffler is welded.

so my question is... if i decide to put in an exhaust system...whether cat-back or just rear... do i need to cut the pipe and weld? And if so, will most aftermarket exhaust pass smog without pulling them out? or do i need special bolt-on connectors welded?

i know the trd and jic axle back exhaust have clicks no welding but that about all i know hope that helps

The system I have is a complete manifold back, so I have my original put away for a rainy day.

the TRD just kinda pushed on the rear section...real easy to install...if u wanna hear how it sounds, check out the link

Isn't the TRD muffler just a magnaflow muffler with a tip?
