Default installed injen CAI on my 2007 tc

just recently installed a 05-06 injen cold air intake on my 2007 tc. After researching the matter of the size difference in the gen. 1 to gen. 2 maf sencers on many threads, i went to my autozone to see if i could come up with anything to make this newly baught intake work. i bought a rubber seal set (package of two different sizes) for a total of $3.24. the larger rubber seal makes a perfect air tight space in the aftermarket maf hole, but just enough room to fit the newly sized maf without it moving at all. after all is said and done, sounds beautiful.

is it unsafe to not use the bolts? regardless of the perfect seal.

it is because if the senser moves out of place with the air stream, it will kill the engine. so im gonna have a get a clamp of some sort just to make sure.

LIVE2SURFAZ - do you get the infamous Injen/tC whistle?
I'm wondering if the 07 MAF was redesigned in part bescause of the audible sound the air makes rushing around it (aka the whitsle)

No, just the 05-06 MAF sensors are crap...some have crapped out on people.
