Default Real Lower Side Bumper Vents, not the fakes

I installed my CIA this weekend, and was kinda disapointed to see that the bumper vent right infron of my air intake was blocked with a piece of plastic with a molded mesh pattern cast into it. This is a solid piece, with no airflow what so ever. I just popped it our for now and my air hungry intake is purring happily.

So, here is my question.

I have an RS2, with that custon mesh upper and lower grill. I'm trying to find JUST the two smaller grill inserts that are as close a match to the RS2 as I can. Anyone else had any luck, or feeling creative enough to whip out a few sets?

So now you have given water a perfect opportunity to enter your CAI. So just be careful. I doubt you will see much difference, but a CAI doesnt add more than a couple of WHP, if any at all anyway.

Not sure where to find the vents. I am sure you could make some though fairly easilly.

try GRILLCRAFT..

they make aluminum mesh grills that should match pretty close to the RS2's.

and about water entering the car.. i highly doubt it, i have had my vent removed for a very long time, and through rain season i was fine..

but i live in cali.. so it doesnt really rain all that hard.

yep i have the GRILLCRAFT 4 piece set. it has 2 vents that fit perfectly into the sides and give great airflow to the CAI.

grillcraft too much cash. See these guys.

Close match and the mesh is thick unlike gutter stuff. It'll cost you $30 shipped unless you want it powder coated.

However as mentioned above, that just opens you up to sucking up a bunch of rain water and killing the motor. listen to that warning.

p.s. I'm north of boston. At some point if you wanted I could show you these grills. I didn't do the two bottom bumper vents just the upper and lower main ones. They look good.
