Default 1nz-fe fi c/r

Any of you diehards tryed locating a metal head gasket to drop the c/r down from 10:5:1? seems high for fi, I know it's all in the tune but your envolope narrows greatly with that high of c/r. 8:5:1 or 9:1 could make a hella difference, I know it's a trade off high boost/low c/r or high c/r low boost.

Ill probably be the first to run it. I will have to measure the stock gasket then I will know how thick to have it made. I dont think I will change it until I have the pistons, rods, rings though.

I hear ya, Have you had a chance to see the factory timing tables? (The ones on the toyota ecu) seems like to run 10:5:1 with 87 octane it's gotta have hella retarding in the timing to avoid detonation.

Yeah big time. Going 91 octane is a must and even with that, I think there may be some issues esp on hot days. Im going to add water/methanol injection. There is so much I want to do but just dont have the time to mess with the xb now. Too many projects! For those of you in So Cal, one of the cars I'm working on right now will be the official pace car for this year's LACC. It should be a lot of fun. You cant miss it. Its a 2004 Noble M12.
