Default Need a hookup for an Alpine deck

I am looking to find someone with a good connection to get a discount on some new car stereo equipment I want.

Here is what I am looking for:

Alpine IVA-W200 (head unit)
Alpine KCE-422i (ipod full speed cable)
Alpine TUA-T500HD (HD radio)

Also looking for the XM radio component if there is one, I might just be able to use an aftermarket one but I don’t know.

Would HD radio thing even be worth it if you gonna use satalite radio? I haven't listened to normal radio in my car since i got Sirius.

and to spark some debate...

Sirius > XM

XM has MLB and I like there Blues station much better, nuff said on that topic. =)

And I was more interested in the price of the HD component. If it isn't that much more I would just add it on, if it is you are right I would just stick with Sat Radio.

I guess your arguement for MLB is valid, haha. I got it for the heavy metal station cuz XM got rid of their's when it came around to getting Sat. radio. But then I heard about Stern going to Sirius too so it turned out like an added bonus for me. Then just recently XM added their metal station back, but I am a lot happier with my Sirius.

I been hearing a lot of things about XM falling drastically, mainly stocks and such. I keep hearing rumors of clear channel buying em out or even Sirius. but just all talk right now.

Not to try and induce more off topicness...but I would say that I am more of a fan of Sirius. Stern. And Sirius has better comedy channels.

And Radio Disney!

haha.

I would also agree though, that the combination of HD radio and Sattelite radio might be strange. I mean, the HD ones are just local channels. But I barely listen to local radio anyway.

As for your stereo stuff...I'll try to keep an eye open. I don't really know any good audio hookups. Sometimes there are some vendors on here that will be able to get goods deals. Keep your eyes on the sponsored sales section.

I was able to get that all really cheap, but have to wait for each best buy to be finished, as I get cost on items every time my father's company (which he works for)finishes one... within a couple months the next one is going to be done... until then, it's patience...

Deck $650
Ipod Cable ~$20
XM Adaptor Setup and Antenna Setup ~70
Wiring Adaptor for the tC ~$2

I have XM and haven't listened to AM/FM since. I like the service (except there are a few channels which are now playing commercials). I wish I had HD radio too as I'd like to listen to local stations with better sound quality (I can tell the difference now when I toggle between XM & FM). Also, I was spoiled once with an HD equiped car rental because it tells you the song and artist playing. I wish I could listen to my XM and get the same information
